Thanjk you.

What about Provodnikov? Think you've got to consider him among the best LWW / WW in the world.
He's fighting Matthysse soon. Should be a cracking fight.
Would not rate him all that highly to be honest. Pretty much any time he stepped up in quality he lost.
He is pretty tough and the type of guy that would give heavy hitters some problems due to his ability to absorb shots, but put him against skilled guys who are good at taking angles away and who are more about technique than power and he struggles.
I would fancy Matthysse against him, but Matthysse is exactly the sort of hitter that Provodnikov has the skillset and durability to frustrate

This is a farce. Nelson with a mic playing up to the crowd Vince McMahon WWE style as a load of knobheads roar on one of the worst cards on British tv in many a year.

Exactly what Eddie and Barry want.
Exactly. They can go and **** themselves and Sky can go **** themselves for allowing this to happen.
Putting diluted shows on Sky Sports whilst holding all the 'talent' back for PPVs
The Cleverly / Bellew and now the Brook / Gavin card have shown what they're all about.
Still......some decent action from the States later. Quillin / Lee and Garcia / Peterson.

Andy Lee drew his fight. No mean feat considering he was on the floor in the 1st and 3rd round. He got a nice little tear in his left bicep during the fight also which for a southpaw makes for a tough night.
Decent performance though and plenty of heart shown to come back from two knock downs to score one of his own and then go on to get a draw after being well behind after six rounds.
Garcia beat Peterson last night in a very close fight. The scoring could have gone either way and had scored it level myself.
No comparison though between the bouts Stateside and the muck on British tv earlier in the night.

Danny Garcia seemingly just has to see the final bell and he gets the win regardless of how the fight actually went. No wonder none of his faults are getting fixed.
Lee fight was weird, it kept going from horrendous to brilliantly exciting, often in the same round. He did well to come back and a draw was fair.

I can see how Garcia got the nod as it was not the easiest fight to watch or score at times. I thought Peterson did enough to draw and would not have been surprised had he gotten a narrow win either.
Hard at times to figure out just how good Garcia actually is. He goes from looking really impressive to pulling fights out of the fire througfh a late stoppages or through squeaky points wins. But I cannot argue with the names he is racking up in his W column.
He has had seven fights since winning his first proper strap against Eric Morales in 2012, and won all seven.
That gives him four good wins (Morales was still a hard man to stop when Garcia did so. Only Pac had been able to stop Morales before then.), one win against a faded name (Judah), one win against a useful but outmatched fighter (Herrera), and one really easy one (Salka).
Taken on four threats in seven fights is not bad going, and regardless of how good or bad I may think he is, he does take on fighters that are on his own level at least as often as he takes the easier option.
Cannot argue with the draw in Andy's fight. Coming back from two knockdowns whilst carrying an injury to your good arm takes character and determination. It was an odd fight to watch alright. It did go, as you say, from being an exciting watch to being horrible to watch and back to exciting again.
I think when Quillin looks back at replays of the fight he may be disappointed with himself for letting his own workrate drop during the spells he in which he was scoring well, especially rounds three through six.
He will be equally gutted at his purse being $150k lighter due to him failing to make the weight for the fight. That's a big hit given all his expenses etc should still be coming out of what was left over.
But as much as I could pick flaws in both of the above bouts, they were a breath of fresh air after the Hearns promotion on Sky.
At least with Garcia- Peterson and Lee- Quillin we had two pretty evenly matched bouts, and boxers who were happy to take the risk of going in against guys who were at their own level.

Floyd Mayweather says he will fight just once more after next month's clash with Manny Pacquiao because he no longer enjoys the sport.
The unbeaten American's 2 May fight with Pacquiao is the fifth of a six-fight contract with broadcaster Showtime.
And Mayweather, 38, says the "fun" has gone out of boxing, which he now regards as "a job".
He added: "I don't enjoy it like I once did. My last fight is in September." BBC
Re-Match? or Khan?

Yeah he's a weird one isnt he? Sometimes I really rate him and think he has a bit of everything, other times I think he's massively flattered by his match making and was lucky he ran in to Mr Glass and these dodgy judges he often seems to have on his side. You can easily make cases for him losing to Lamont, Theophane and Herrera (that was a definite robbery). I thought perhaps he fought up or down to the level of the opponent he's in with but I'm not sure now after Saturday, he just looked pretty average and his often good timing was hideous.
Anyway, **** Danny Garcia and Mayweather v Pacquiao for that matter, this is hands down the best fight in boxing in the coming weeks. Look at these two!!
