First tour. 2nd overall, polka dot jersey winner and white jersey winner.

He was brilliant tactically today. I want to see how much he can improve.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
First tour I have properly followed and it's been really enjoyable. I thought it'd be boring. But it's essentially Cricket on two wheels. An individual team sport, with battles all throughout.
Think the comparison stands up. A sport that ultimately is down to the individual, but to win you need your team to support you. Daily battles on the stages, same as a batsman/bowler tussle.
No, the tradition is that they don't normally attack him IF the gap is big as it is now, so the race's emphasis is on the stage winner which is normally reserved for sprinters or all rounders. Though there have been times when the race had to be decided on the last stage - remember the Fignon and Lemond rivalry at the time, when Lemond beat Fignon on the Champs Elysee.
Millar is riding a great race at the moment. Though he's unlikely to cling on to his lead.
