Doping in cycling is a long way from being in the past. At least at the moment most of the positive tests - and dodgy results - seem to be among Pro-Continental and Continental teams. For example, the Tour of Turkey.
Of course that might be because any dopers at WorldTour teams have access to better medical advice, masking, etc.
But let's hope not.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

CyclingNews has mentioned everyone was openly grumbling about it when Santambrogio won stage 14 (which I'd forgotten).
I'm not sure I follow Millar's point. They got caught so what's the flaw he's pointing to?

I did see the win, really pleased to see Thomas leading him out well I think he's got a really good career ahead of him ( I know he's 27). Needs to take the next step over the co IMF couple of years to show he could be a team leader in the GTs
Er, yes. I think I agree but you seem a little garbled there.

To finish behind Valverde (52nd) on a flat ITT is really bad. The only thing in favour of Contador (and Valverde and Rodriguez, who came 70th) is that the ITT in the Tour isn't flat.
Spanish meat exporters are probably rushing a few steaks to him right now.
Good ride for Froome. Martin was bound to be awesome. And four Sky riders in the top ten, including Thomas and Boasson Hagen. Clearly those two have paid attention to our demands.
