Blooding two bowlers at the same time is asking for trouble.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

      Especially on this pitch.

Woakes has improved but Kerrigan is shot to bits. Playing with 4 bowlers at the moment.

Boycott just described it as three and a half.

All part of the plan. Make the Aussies think they won't have to do much to their batting line up before the winter. Woakes and Kerrigan aren't going to b on the boat.

When I said we wouldn't lose a game this series I assumed we wouldn't play Woaks who is the worst bowler to be picked by England in the last 15 years. The guy is ****ing ****. The selectors have lost their minds.

I've got a couple of quid on the series being 3-1 though so this last test is looking great so far.
              Never knowingly optimistic

I reckon they thought it would turn something fierce on day 3, so go with 2 spinners and pick Woaks as a batter who can bowl but use him a bit first two days if we have to bowl first. We lose the toss, use him a bit, and then Kerrigan browns himself so we have to use Woaks more than we thought. Blooding two new bowlers was probably a tad ambitious as one has to be backup to the other. Could have thought that through better.

I'm all for blooding youngsters, but I think blooding someone (Woaks) who is so obviously never going to be good enough is pointless.

Monty would have played if he hadn't of urinated on a bouncers leg and now the selectors are thrashing about wondering what to do about a second spinner for the winter tour. Kerrigan looks almost like a panic selection.

Well thats slightly wrong, but he needs to get his head down at Essex and work hard. He deserves his place in the squad back if he does though.

He needs the end of the season to get his head together.

Big day for Kerrigan, needs to show some character and come back with some bowling which pitches in the right place having spent yesterday bowling long hops or full tosses.

Should I go? Showers are forecast.

And there will be people there. So many people, many of them doubtless reeking of aftershave.
