Delicately poised. I reckon 300 will be a good score because the pitch and outfield are both slow and the forecast weather should be conducive to swing bowling. Plus their lefties are creating a load of rough for the spinner. With Compton failing this is a great opportunity for Bairstow and Root to stake their claim for a spot in the ashes because with KP coming back those three are battling it out for two Ashes places.

Don't want to appear negative but that was the slowest most boring day I have ever spent watching cricket in my entire life. £77 on the train. £65 for a ticket. Nearly £5 a pint. A lot of money spent to be bored to death.

I'd say the cricket is good value compared to an afternoon at the Reading Beer Festival with Nigel..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
