Your use of "us" is normal. It was Hollowman's that struck me as out of character.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Michael Vaughan was defending Bairstow yesterday saying 52 in a fairly low scoring game isn't bad etc. He also said something about a partnership he was in but I don't remember what it was.

Bairstow had a couple of decent partnerships with Bell, albeit not scoring many during the second one. Decent dry partnership though.

Like Shaggy said, they've made their bed now with Root/Compton, which was an error.

Vaughan is a typically biased Yorkshireman.

Bairstow made a 90 odd against a quality South African attack last summer but other than that he's not really shown he's up to it.

bit harsh - i have no issue issues with broad - tho i do have a rather inmature but funny video i took of broad fielding at one of our yearly cricket weekenders.

We were all very drunk - we are a couple rows from the boundary - broad is fielding right in front of us,

he turns to sign a few autographs, but turns away leaving one kid out - so we all start booing him, loudly and shouting **** at him

it all goes quiet....and one of my mates is shouting....

"broady....Broady... Broady..." think "dan...Dan" from alan partridge

                  he keeps going on

eventually broady glances round and my mate justs shouts

"yer gay" - distasteful yes - but even broad tried hard not to burst out laughing
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Vaughan also said Anderson was England's best ever bowler (it may have been best ever fast bowler) and was taken to task by "a typically biased Yorkshireman" who said Fred Trueman was better and if Vaughan really thought that he'd gone downhill.

I agree Bairstow doesn't inspire confidence. But I also agree there's no one else.

                    Except Hollowman of course.

following the cricket sunday, similar to what usually pisses me off with wimbledon.....we had an impromptu game of cricket on the park by our local

i've got some wickets that are spring loaded which are quite good to have, and we had an old cricket bat and just used a tennis ball - had about 6 or 7 of us playing. Really good laugh, only a couple of us had any technique in bowling in or batting, one lad couldn't even catch haha

but we all enjoyed it - and next saturday it's one of my mates birthdays, so we have arranged for the pub to put on a bbq for him, and then for about 15 of us (hopefully more) to play cricket again

I mentioned wimbledon because i hate it when wimbledon is on and all of a sudden everyone is a tennis player

Coincidentally the page against Clarke is also by Aussies:

They really do have some of the ****test sports fans in the world. Nothing but bitterness and excuses when they're not winning.

Ironically sport seems to turn a large percentage of them into **** blokes.

They were hilariously bad in the field.

Napier was too busy trying to catch his sunny's then he ended up missing the ball.

Every time Bairstow makes a **** score the selectors look more and more foolish over Compton.
