Haha I've watched the highlights twice too having obviously watched it live. The England players' celebrations when the finger went up were amazing

Gutted there is no cricket until Thursday.

What a series this is lined up to be.

Thursday seems a long way off

Didn't realise until today that Chester le street is in instead of Edgbaston.

Quite confident about Lords. Reckon their batsmen will struggle (even more than usual) on the Lords slope. Might take a while for their younger bowlers to adapt too.

Imagine how wide Starc could work one downhill. Hit the square leg ump.

                Crazy scenes innit?

I was watching it at Venky's (Yes, Yes the Blackburn owners' chicken outlet a.k.a the Indian version of KFC and I love it as much as I hate to admit it) and man was it crazy!!

For a second I thought it would be ****ing funny if the Aussies lose by 2 runs yet again but I'll take 15

Was a superb day of Drama. I changed my mind so many times as the day went on as to which way it was going to go.

You just can't beat action like that - 5 absolutely brilliant days.

Bring on Thursday - The Ashes is always special, but it grows even more so when it's at Lords.

squad unchanged tho i expect bresnan to come in for finn who had a bit of a stinker when it mattered on sunday
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I would like us to stick with Finn as he offers something different and showed in the first innings he can get important wickets.

Also Lords is his home track so you would hope he would perform a bit better.

Last chance (in this series) for Finn on his home patch IMO. No confidence, next to no form. I'd get Onions in for the third Test if Finn has another stinker...but I can't see them turning to him ahead of Bresnan.

Bairstow also in the last chance saloon for me, although I have no idea where to turn after him. Reverting to Compton and Root middle order would be embarrassing for the selectors. I'm not sure Bairstow is up to it.

Lack of options in the middle order, Bopara is injured so who is next in line? Morgan?

"Next cab off the rank" as they say would probably be Morgan but I have no faith in him in Test cricket. Likewise Bopara. Always liked Carberry but he prefers to open and he's about 30. That number 6 slot is a problem for us.

                              Get Hollowman in.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
