We'll have to bowl poorly to fail to bowl them out for less than 250

205 ahead at stumps, we need another 50 or 60 if the weather holds off IMO

Lot of turn for the spinner towards the end, fancy Swann to wreak havoc.

I think I'm less convinced about Bairstow than I am about Compton. At least Compo has hit a couple of hundreds for England and looks capable of building an innings (all be it very slowly), but Bairstow never looks comfortable at the crease.

Despite a terribly tedious start to the match this has developed into a really exciting test match. A lead of 300 would be a dreamland scenario and in reality is incredibly unlikely, but if Bell, Broad and Swann can cobble together another 50 or 60 then I fancy us to win the match. However, NZ still very much in this and if they can get early wickets tomorrow they'll be confident of winning too. For me though, no matter how we bat tomorrow, I think Swann will be key. Their spinners were getting some sharp turn towards the end of the day and if Swann hits that rough created by the NZ lefties he could run through their batting lineup. Whatever happens, if the weather holds we're in for a nail biting finish.

1st ball over of the day and a wicket! Finn gone Broad in.

                        This won't take too long.

Looks like Broad has come in to play some shots then!
