There seemed more than enough to turn that round. I can understand being in two minds on the first replay with the slight noise, but the reverse angle cleared all that up. Not sure what was going though their mind on that one.

No. Hotspot can miss one in ten feathers, especially with a slower delivery. As with the Agar decision, when the other technologies suggest he is out, they can be taken above hotspot. Obviously in this particular instance the decision was horrible, but hotspot shouldn't be taken as gospel. You'll only make a Harv of yourself taking that line.

No one said it is fool proof but it has clearly and demonstrably improved on the number of poor decisions being made. India's stance is nonsensical.Originally posted by Sarb View PostAnd people wonder why India aren't in favour of DRS. This was clear human error though. The system is fine and has been proven beyond question to increase the number of correct decisions. There isn't even a debate about that. I don;t get this argument that the system has to be 100% or not used at all. That's crazy.

My point was more that the 3rd umpire's must be told to consider hotspot and noise, in this case there was neither so even without the visible gap I would guess that they have enough evidence to overturn the on field decision.
