They have a dilemma with the openers. I mean, Warner would be in for Rogers if he hadn't biffed Joe Root. There are reasons to drop Watson - form and his clashes with Clarke - but he is decent with the ball (not a big wicket taker but keeps rubs down so can build pressure), has good hands, and Lehman will want big characters in the dressing room. Harsh to drop Rogers after just two matches though, especially as he hasn't been any shutter than anyone else.

Also, does anyone see Warner doing substantially better? Just had two **** innings for the As against a Zimbabwe select.

Their batting depth is the weakest I can remember. Bowling wise they are pretty decent but no competition in the batting department.

Maybe we can loan them Compton.

I think it good to see a third umpire not totally reliant on hotspot. The audio seemed clear and visually it looked like he moved the ball. The seam hit the bat, maybe that explains hotspot not showing. But audio seemed clear. And snicko appears to back that up (although the ump wouldn't have that obviously).
