The Australians are gonna need a comeback of epic proportions to come back in this series but never rule them out.

Ridiculously harsh. Probably was out, however not strong enough evidence to overturn the ump. Aussies can feel hard done by on that one.

Obviously good for us but it's a big call to go against the on field call based on the evidence he had.

The third umpire shouldn't be over ruling the on field umpires unless there is clear evidence and I don't think there was enough there to change the decision.

Are the reviews same as tennis where you keep a review if its a correct one

The nick was audible and ball moved. Looked clear to me.

Holding was talking mad **** about syncing up video and sound in slo-mo, claiming the ball was last the bat. The video is shot at 25 frames per second. Let's say, conservatively, that the ball was passing the bat at 70mph, then it would be moving at over 30 metres per second, which is more than a metre for each frame of video. There is no way to sync them up so even trying is foolish.

If the third ump though the noise and the movement were convincing, then I don't see why he should only overturn if he had a hotspot. If that's the case, why even bother looking at anything else other than hotspot? The idea is to look at all available evidence, which he did. Absence of hotspot isn't the same as absence of a nick. The sound, given the bat was nowhere near pad or ground, obviously convinced him.

                    I didn't have a problem with it.
