Article here about Running shoe tech to reduce injury being a bit usless.

So all those expensive shoes are basically pointless, and just a good fitting pair is best?

Cheeky 3.5 mile lunch time run to overtake Slinks - in your face choccy finger!

Now tucking into salmon with ginger and garlic with rice - tastes like heaven!

          Sounds delicious.

Supposed to be out tonight, but I feel like **** again. Like the start of a cold, but its been with me since Tuesday.

Might skip it tonight and go tommorow instead.

Brutal 7 miler including a 2 mile sprint session. Almost puked in a bush. No hiding at all out there tonight. Awesome though!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Well. More like 1.7 miles. We worked out a 0.25 metre track and punted it repeatedly. 0.25 miles then 45 seconds rest before going again. 9 intervals in all with the slowest pace being 5:49/ mile and the average 5:31. But there was a 2.7 mile run to and from the session too. Was awesome.

What's people's view on running with music. Do you find it makes it easier or tougher?

For the most part, easier. It distracts me from the pain

I had a friend though that said he couldn't run properly with music. He liked to hear the rhythm of his feet while he ran, he said it helped him keep a good tempo, and helped with his pacing. I can see the logic in that.

Nowadays about half of my runs are with music, half without. When the weather is nice I often like to leave the headphones at my desk and just enjoy the day

                            Totally depends on my mood.

I was told I wasn't allowed to run with headphones in before a 10k last year and haven't had the headphones in since. Might give it a go with choons on the go as I'd forgotten what it's like.

Can't do it without music. Maybe that's as a result of using 5 and 10k apps.
