Fuuuuck! Absolutely, get some milled linseed and add it to cereal / porridge / pasta etc. It's got some awesome stuff in it and it'll help with the ... movements

Another 5k last night. Still at the slow and painful stage but looking forward to being able to bash out the miles by the time spring comes round.

Well, finally got off my fat arse and got to a gym.

Not joined yet, just went down for a trial tonight but will be doing. It's only small so you have to be flexible on your routine, but it's a 20 minute walk away giving me my cardio without the boring bike **** until I'm a bit fitter. Still tempted to join one near work so I can go in my lunch break, but I need to stop procrastinating and leap in.

                  In no particular order:
3 sets of 12 pull downs.
3 sets of 12 butterfly press (machine).
3 sets of 12 low row (machine).
3 sets of 12 low row (cables machine).
3 sets of 10 push downs (forgot how much they hurt).
3 sets of 12 leg press.
3 sets of 12 leg curl.
1 set of 12 leg extension (my bung knee grinded that much it scared me and I stopped).
3 sets of 8 reverse barbell curl to shoulder press (I was ****ed by this stage).
3 sets of 8 preacher curls.

Had a play with cable crossover but it's been too long and my techniques too ****ed, I'll get a free training session with my membership and I'll just get him to fix up my techniques.

Love high intensity weight sessions, just switching between muscle groups. At one stage I started to get a stitch and felt like I was going to vomit. Lovely stuff

Only downside was I couldn't get near the bench press, its so small they only have 1. They have incline but I don't like that. And a smith machine which I'll work out some other time so I can use that, and for calf raises too.

Missed some other stuff, I was too ****ed. I'm just starting

Once I join its 24/7 and I plan to go much later so it will be quieter anyways.

Weights at home really aint the same as the gym. Far too many distractions between sets. You really have to go to the gym to smash yourself up.

Nice one EwarWoo. Nowt up with the incline bench tho, although it works your upper pec/shoulders so there's a bit of crossover with shoulder press.

My old training mate was back from Sweden at the weekend so went down my other mate's huge crossfit gym. Pushed my shoulder a fair bit more - unsurprisingly it's lost a fair bit of strength but not as much as I'd feared. Worked up to 5 reps strict shoulder press at 70K & 2s at 75K, so about 5-10K down.

Also, had a play with the log they had there, up to triple at 75K but as a pushpress. And bamboo pole with resistance bands loaded with kettle bells either side for stability work. Loadsa fun.

Mate got a 180K paused squat to full depth.

Nice chilly 10km this morning, I say nice but there was nothing nice about it other than the finish!

What does the bamboo pole/kettlebells look like and involve please RoboKop?
I'm in the middle of some quite intense tractor tyre & kettlebell stuff at the moment and am always looking to keep things fresh. Thanks!!!
