Need to get a shift on - being left in the dust this month!

I've got nothing to concentrate on at the moment so training goes out the window,

Had a bad couple of weeks with a bug that I just couldn't shake off. Attacked my sinuses which meant that I was 100% bunged up, horrible. Some days I'd have a build up of pressure in my head that I felt it was going to explode, others just full of catarrh. In fact, the amount of **** up my nose was staggering.

Anyway, it rather curtailed the past two weeks or so, went out last night fearing the worst and while I did take it rather steady I managed 6.3km. Which, considering that I'm still suffering a bit from the bug, is ok in my book.

it's funny how once you get into it, there's the dread fear of how much of what you've gained you'll lose if you have to stop because of sickness etc.

Just read this - it's so true. Keep having awesome weeks followed by niggly things that aren't even running related - working late, train delays, meetings going on that end late.....

10.2km. Knocked 1min 30 off my best time. The joys of the initial relative gains of the novice

I can also share an insight with the runners of est - this run was far easier than it was on the weekend when hungover. Who'd have thought?

Ran home on my lunch hour, was hoping to make it a regular occurrence but got attacked by multiple seagulls so not doing that again, not at least until they **** off!

Anyway that was just over 2 miles.

Sorry, that was my bad. We posted within a few minutes of each other and I didn't see your post.

Can I check you're not holding any fish whilst running? Or maybe a pasty peeking out of your pocket? These are things that might encourage a gull attack. HTH.

If I did have a fish I'd have ****ted the ****ers with it!

Nightmare that was, they did the exact same to me last night.

I either walk or cycle the route to work normally and they don't attack me, seems they are threatened by people running which is odd.

I've had red tops on both nights as well, wonder if that's causing them to attack.

                              Strange all the same.
