I'm sorer today than I was yesterday, it's starting to really bug me. By the time I go out tomorrow I'm going to be running like Douglas Bader

Ibuprofen seemed to help tbh, I might does up this evening and in the morning
Be careful of over doing the Ibuprofen, easily helps with the pain but afterwards can be a bitch. Do you run on the road mainly?

Get yourself on some grass / fields / trails if you can, you'll be amazed at how much of a difference it makes. It's obviously tough at first because there's more resistance but over a few runs you should notice your recovery is faster and it'll be kinder on the joints!

Norbs, do the couch to 5k. Itll ease your body into it better. Suffered no injuries last time at all and I was heavy at the time.

A little lighter now, so obviously its easier. But still. Bigger guys always suffer.

Why are you here then Fakeboy? Why have you left your bespoke mincing thread if it's so great? No one wants your sort here.

You're as bad as a Scum fan - always showing your unwelcome face at the worst time. Like that stubborn oversized turd that just won't flush.

Cheers guys, advice much appreciated. I've got some trail shoes and loads of trails round here. Would I be able to wear normal running shoes on trails? I've got some Asics Lahar trail shoes but lent them to my lad. Don't want to ruin the expensive Kayanos

I normally go running on tarmac, bridle paths. However, have just joined a local Puregym as it's only £10.99 per month for the next 12 months. I have been using a treadmill and found it more difficult to maintain my normal pace and distances. Is that common? I think it's purely down to the monotony of running on the spot. I'm running between 5K and 10K at the moment although just the 5K on the treadmill.

My gyms been closed down 2days in a row cos Thames Water burst a water pipe while doing some work in the streets
There's been no water so we've had to close 2 days running! Gotta cancel all sessions booked in for 2mrw as it don't look like opening till afternoon time

I will have to find a local gym to resume my schedule!

Might do another again tomorrow lunchtime, not sure yet though.
It's quite clear that anyone that's run over 10 miles at this stage of the day is a massive great howling effeminate poncer.

Treadmill running is supposed to be done at a 1% incline too, so it simulates the undulating road better.

I never liked treadmill running. Its just so boring! Imagine staring at a wall and clock for an hour. Because thats all youll do in a 10k

How about if someone reaches that stage around lunchtime?
