Get yourself on some grass / fields / trails if you can, you'll be amazed at how much of a difference it makes. It's obviously tough at first because there's more resistance but over a few runs you should notice your recovery is faster and it'll be kinder on the joints!Originally posted by Norbs View PostYep, all on the road'The tide is very much in our court now.'

Why are you here then Fakeboy? Why have you left your bespoke mincing thread if it's so great? No one wants your sort here.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostHello braindead meatheads
. Your poxy weightlifting thread has been well and truly overshadowed by our aerobic masterclass of a thread

You're as bad as a Scum fan - always showing your unwelcome face at the worst time. Like that stubborn oversized turd that just won't flush.

I normally go running on tarmac, bridle paths. However, have just joined a local Puregym as it's only £10.99 per month for the next 12 months. I have been using a treadmill and found it more difficult to maintain my normal pace and distances. Is that common? I think it's purely down to the monotony of running on the spot. I'm running between 5K and 10K at the moment although just the 5K on the treadmill.

My gyms been closed down 2days in a row cos Thames Water burst a water pipe while doing some work in the streets
There's been no water so we've had to close 2 days running! Gotta cancel all sessions booked in for 2mrw as it don't look like opening till afternoon time
I will have to find a local gym to resume my schedule!

It's quite clear that anyone that's run over 10 miles at this stage of the day is a massive great howling effeminate poncer.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostPablo: 13.55 miles

Might do another again tomorrow lunchtime, not sure yet though.

Treadmill running is supposed to be done at a 1% incline too, so it simulates the undulating road better.Originally posted by RoadEnd View PostI normally go running on tarmac, bridle paths. I never liked treadmill running. Its just so boring! Imagine staring at a wall and clock for an hour. Because thats all youll do in a 10k
