I want Hoggy to retire an all Ireland winner, he deserves it but it’s a 50/50 game now. Cork played with 3 lads inside and that upset Limerick, they kept the ball away from Kyle Hayes and they matched them for running. I thought Cian Lynch was sublime yesterday, his touch and awareness is ridiculous

Clare vs Cork has the potential to be as good as yesterday's game.

Will be rooting for Cork (I kind of have to ) but think if Clare can treat it as just another game and not see it as a final that Clare are favourites (just)

Do think that win against Kilkenny might have been huge for the Clare. A big win, a hard won win, in a once off game is something they needed imo.

Clare already having a win over Cork this year will help Clare too imo. Should see them face Cork with the same level of fearlessness that Cork brought into the game against Limerick.

Like you, my own UCC ties have me knowing a lot of ex Cork players plus have a group of harpies in my close circle that are all Cork born and bred so no peace for me.

On the Limerick side I would know a lot of ex players as Paudie Fitzmaurice is an ex GAA coach of mine from a lifetime ago now (Frankie Brosnan and Pat Cross being two other ex coaches of mine on the rugby front that you might have known or known off back in the day) and have two family members that played in green back in the 1970s so no escaping GAA for me even if I was nowt more than a big fast grok of a GAA player myself back in my younger days. Paudie shouted "WHIP!!!!" from the sideline and I whipped

Agree on Cian Lynch. The guy is simply brilliant. Good friend of my god daughter as both went to school together and both then went to Mary I. Very decent young man away from the pitch too.

    Gillane was excellent too imo.

The Cork team I could just start listing names for, so just easier to say that almost to a man they were brilliant.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Difficult to look past Limerick retaining the league trophy (as well as them then going on to retain the Al Ireland Title yet again).

Some tough fixtures for Cork and Clare there, not to mention they play each other, but can see Limerick just walloping everyone they meet before the home game against Tipperary in round 4.

Only highlighted Limerick, Clare and Cork in the listing because I don't give a **** about anyone else and also because I think the winner will come from that trio.

Also think that 2024 is the year we see a Limerick - Clare All Ireland Final.

Though as with other years, Clare are the team I do not want Limerick to meet in any final be it the All Ireland, The Munster final or otherwise.

Only team in the country that I think Limerick cannot blow away once Limerick pick up their second half head of steam. Don't know what it is with Clare but they have the ability to make every big game against Limerick a bum squeaker, then Clare will go lose to a team and Limerick will go and hammer that team that beat Clare.

But Clare themselves are bloody kryptonite to how Limerick like to play.

Second best team and squad in the country for my money and behind Limerick on self belief only imo as I think they are a match for Limerick in terms of fitness and skill.

That prediction from 2023 was pretty close to the mark.

Limerick vs Clare in the Munster final this year and Cork vs Clare in the All Ireland final with Clare winning.

My voice is almost gone today. Never in my life have I gotten so caught up in a game where I had no dog in the fight.

Easily the very best final I have been at in my life and that includes seeing Limerick in a few finals. So many games I have been at in recent years I thought were the best I would see in my lifetime but yesterday was something special.

Massive for Clare this win, and one that a lot of their players deserved so that they have another All Ireland to add to their tally.

So many moments of pure genius from both sides and the heart and resilience on show was just off the charts.

That miss with the last shot in the last second of injury time at the end of extra time was just heart breaking to see when you saw all the red clad shoulders slump, and at the same time the swell of sound it caused to emerge from the Clare support was awesome.

Ennis is going to be rocking tonight no doubt when the team arrives back there

Think this Cork team, this excellent Cork team, just got a taste of what Clare have gotten a few times in recent years. That so close but being pipped by the smallest of margins feeling. Younger team than Clare though so no doubt they will be back amongst the challengers next year.

One of the same three teams to win the All Ireland in 2025 for me. Limerick, Clare or Cork.

Aye, it was a cracking game as was rooting for Clare, my late granny's home!
Both sides gave their all & all of us who witnessed one of the best games ever played in an all-Ireland hurling final will bow in tribute!

Like yourself, I cannot see past Limerick, Clare or Cork but somehow I can see the likes of Galway & Waterford making strides in the next couple of years whereas I'm still waiting for Dublin to get their **** together!!!
WTF is up with Dublin? with all their resources & population, they come out every year with a meek team. It's not like we don't hurl in the capital!!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

I’m torn - born in Cork and grew up going to Cork games with my Dad and kept going when he stopped….. but I lived in Clare for 3/4 of my life. I know Brian Lohan and a few lads around the squad

I wanted Cork to win but wasn’t disappointed Clare won, a bit if a scrodinger’s outcome for me - :haha

Clare deserved it I thought, the won the battles and Tony Kelly showed why he’s probably the best hurler in the country in his day. Cork won the tactics vs Limerick, especially the puck outs but here they got destroyed, they never changed it up. Having said that, the bounce of the ball from a refereeing perspective went against them I thought. A replay would’ve been nice and Hoggy and Harnody deserve a title but so do Kelly, O’Donnell and others….

Great game, lived up to the billing

Would even say it far exceeded the pre game hype. Been a bumper few years in terms of classic games and Sunday was possibly the best of the lot.

Dublin is football and that's it. All the focus is on that when it comes to Dub GAA.

Plus you lot know despite the huge population up there and no matter how good a hurling team you put out, that the Men (and Women) of Munster will always be waiting come the sharp end of any hurling or Camoige season.

Actually camoige (do hate the term as it should just be called hurling and **** this hurling is men only shyte) is an interesting one when you look at the dominant county in the sport (Cork) but also how neighbouring hurling counties like Limerick never produce great camoige teams.

The women of neighbouring counties are outta there the minute they leave school to find some decent civilisation in Cork or Dublin!!

Scrappy meeting of Cork and Limerick yesterday.

                        Finished 1-16 to 1-16.

Have to say that that utter scumbag Kyle Hayes staying in the team (not to mention receiving various awards in recent months) leaves a bit of a sour taste in the mouth.

He should be in prison for the savage assualt he did in Limerick city a couple years back. Not to mention refusing to stay at the scene of his crime (an assualt that was witnessed in progress by the arriving police and the victim had been assualted earlier in the same night by him and that one was caught on camera) and then him driving at high speeds months later and again having to be chased down by the police.

Then throw in his efforts to have the charges against him thrown out.

Same goes for his two brothers who have another court hearing coming up for the savage assualt (with weapons) they performed on a different victim.

Guess when you have money and have an crazily rich individual to be associated with the basic laws of the land get applied differently.

If the Limerick GAA had any backbone and sense of morality, a convicted violent criminal should be nowhere near the squad let alone the starting line ups. Would much sooner see model pros like Cian Lynch grabbing headlines for all the right reasons than some thug being rewarded with awards and a seemingly nailed on place in the team.

Took fecking ages getting back to the car after the game as well

I saw the score, anyway the league counts for feck all. Limerick are the team to beat again this year

Wish I could say it was a nice day, but I had to go into Limerick city, which was bad enough, and then be near the Clare border.

To put it in nerd terms you will understand.

I, brave Doc Beorn last of my name, stood and looked to the west and saw the horde of goblins, draped in yellow and blue, approach.

I looked behind me and saw the orcs in green and white.

The orcs and goblins then mingled and representatives of each did battle.

The I, brave Doc Beorn last of my name, finally left the area and returned to the Vales of Anduin which as all know are in nestled between the city of Cork and North Cork.

As for Limerick being the team to beat again this season.....They will certainly be one of them, but there are clear chinks in their armour now and I think they have moved from being the clear best in the country as they were for years, to "only" being one of the joint best teams.

Having seen, on the pitch, the three teams I regard as the best this season.

My early gut feeling is that this might well be Cork's year and that we will again get two of the three Munster teams in the All Ireland final.

Doc Beorn - more aliases than Gandalf himself. To be honest I don’t think any GAA fans fall into the Orc/Goblin category…..Maybe one side in blue and black fall into the orcs category and they never seen to have to leave Mordor or Angmar for their games There are some trolls from really rural parts in the mountains .

Clare are missing O’Donnell, Cork look nearly men and Limerick will be hurting. Kilkenny will always be in the mix but let’s see
