Dianne Abbott lends nothing to the joke and in fact makes it worse.
She might be annoying and duplicitous on occasion but she's not "dumb" so why was she picked?
It's not random.
It would read better if the target of the joke was someone famous who was known to be/pretend to be geographically ignorant (joey essex/jade goody RIP)and wouldn't lose anything from having an unnamed target such as "a blonde".
I'd imagine this was how the joke originally read and at some point someone decided to change it to Dianne Abbot and insert a particularly unfortunate picture of her.
Ask yourself why on earth someone would choose to do that.

I’ve no idea what all that’s got to do with the Jamaican accent assessment though. As you say, it’s exactly the same joke when a white person is the subject. The construct of the joke is not based on race (the post I queried claimed it was).

Of course if someone has chosen to make Abbott the subject of it because of her heritage, rather than her reputation for hapless remarks, then it’s a different matter.

It's a not particularly funny joke that appears to have subsequently had dianne abbot shoehorned into it for some reason.
Probably by a racist.
This in no way means anyone is accusing baitman of any kind of racism.
I'm assuming it was meant as a "poor" rather than "bad taste" joke of course.

It's also kind of irrelevant whether the joke he posted is racist or not or whether the original creator of the joke is a racist because I thought the whole point of this thread was that it is full of uncensored poor and bad taste jokes.

Compared to some of the jokes I've seen posted in this thread it's kindergarten stuff.

I've cringed at some of the racist, sexist & homeopobic 'jokes' posted here.

Further, I would argue all the posts discussing the joke should be moved to a new thread where everyone can continue to debate it if they wish because this is certainly not the thread where we should all start being holier than thou.

We all came here for a peek after all!

You're right, this thread has always had offensive jokes and many a lot worse than that one (the recent Elton John one particularly) and the political debate belongs elsewhere.

I do agree with fidget though as Abbott had nothing to do with the joke and you can't ignore the amount of racist and misogynistic abuse she has received - it's not like it's irrelevant context.

Undoubtedly Baitman wasn't being racist posting it though.

Sort of gives a solid clue to the jokes in it.
