i'm about to swallow a bullet, this is the worst news this year, and even in recent years. i hurts more than breaking up with my girlfriend. it's about the worst thing i could've imagined. the scum get what they want cause they pay for it. we got lucky on the torres deal, if torres hadn't been a liverpool supporter we would've lost out, cause we weren't prepared to pay the full amount, i say it was down to torres and not parry. if we are missing out on tevez do to money then i don't like it. if there is a player worth 35 mill it's him and i'd splash it with out a blink, but i guess thats not the liverpool way...

If you count in Lucas then we have spent £22m so far. We will probably sell players for £20m+ so we really hasn't spent(net) more or less anything yet.

You never see the full amount of the values of sales though - a loot goes in loyalty payments, agents fees etc. It is unlikely we will get anything more than enough to fund one decent player in from sales.

it's always great to be of service i know i take it far to personal, it has to do with my love for argentina, if there is another team that can come close to my passion of liverpool it's argentina. i try to watch every game and follow them with passion, but if this is true i don't think i can anymore, tevez will be a fundimental part of the argie team in the next decade and if he signs for the scum then i can't see me supporting any team he plays in, and if that means that i will stop following argentina, i would be giving up on something i love deeply, but thats how much i love this club and how much i hate the ****ing mancs. witch means i'm ****ed for the rest of Copa America, lets just hope he doesn't get to play much more...

FFS - how do you not know that if there was a bidding war we'd of competed. This is the 1st transfer window under our new owners and we've smashed our previous transfer. Bought in some good freebee's, some good prospects and its still got months to run.

If Tevez does go to the mancs i'd be gutted.

i'm delighted with tom and george don't get me wrong, i'm delighted that we splashed out 20 million. but you know and i know how things work around here, we won't over pay, we don't take part in bidding wars. thats why we loose out on players like alves, and simao (although i know about benfica ****ing us). mancs pay big bucks over the odds bucks and they win the title and win it back. it looks like we've lost out on malouda do to chelski paying the big bucks and him considering it. i hope we can land some great wingers in the torres class and not the likes of benayoun. we need top class winger and we can't afford to get priced out of it, we can't afford playing it with a tight purse. i'd be willing to bet my house on it, that if there would have been a bidding war on torres then we would have signed Bent, why do you think he waited so long before committing to spurs, he was rafa's back up incase torres got messed up...

we've got money so lets spend it. torres was a great start, but lets hope it won't be the last...

Carlos Tevez has played down reports suggesting he is close to joining Manchester United.

The West Ham forward, who is currently in Venezuela with Argentina for the Copa America campaign, has been linked to several clubs in England and abroad but is keen to remain in the Premier League.

'As far as I am aware, I have not received any official offers,' Tevez told Argentina national newspaper Clarin.

'Once an offer arrives then we will see. But the fact that Real Madrid, Internazionale and Manchester United are interested in me makes me proud.'

Tevez was instrumental in keeping the Hammers in the Premier League last season and admits he would not be disappointed if he was to remain at Upton Park for a second straight campaign.

'If I have to stay at West Ham, it would be fine,' he said. 'I am happy there and people love me very much.'

The 23-year-old admits he is no hurry to make a decision and his main aim right now is to help Argentina go for glory at the Copa America.

'Right now my focus is here (with national team),' said Tevez. 'I think it's the best thing for my team. Once this is over, we shall see.'
