Now, there's still 2 months to go still.
Sorry but thats complete nonsense. Rafa just signed a £20m pound player ffs.

Yes Chelsea can outdo us, but they have untold billions potentially. United won't be paying for Tevez till next year at the earliest.

All those people giving in already, should go and check their trousers for balls because I reckon you are lacking in them. Man up or go stick your head in the oven.

Fergiscum sent his men out to South America with an objective to get him signed up within 48 hours. He knows how to deal.

Its annoying as I thought Manu's squad last season wasn't that good and that with one or two additions we could catch them up. Now they've added some depth to that squad.

As said though, a decent winger and it'll make all the difference.
Is sounds more like they have been tapping him up since before the end of the season. He was invited to their end of season party apparently.

Exactly. People need to chill United were always going to make an attacking signing at some point. It doesn't matter about them, it's about what we do. For whatever reason Tevez didn't want to come to us (or Rafa didn't want him) and we got Torres instead and that is good enough for me.

Now, you have an appropriate nick name to do just that.

As for the Torres deal, read the papers. It's been touted as a £ 20.2 M deal, minus whatever we've valued Garcia at, that would be a fee closer to £ 15 M that the £ 27 M we've been fed on.

Did he go as The Incredible Hulk?

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Makes no odds, its still a significant purchase and had he gone to somebody else you can be sure the price would have been nearer £27m. Also you forget that this is a player that Fergie himself has been chasing for a long time.

It was a fantastic deal for us, make no mistake about that. If we've really shunned only £ 15 M for a player of this quality, then Parry & Co. should be hailed as geniuses.

United will have strength in depth if they sign Tevez, with Rooney and him being interchangeable players, and very versatile. The key for us will be the quality of players who we'll sign to provide the ammunition for our strikers.

No it would be £20.2m if that is what we paid, we have lost an asset who has a value which will have appeared in the accounts so stop trying to say we have paid less. Also he was NOT part of the deal.

We'd have to pay Athletico only £ 15 M or so in cash, so logically Garcia was part of the deal mate, whatever way you see it.

They were not 'related' and dependent on one another, that's a more precise explanation.

Ok AFII, let´s say they field this team. Couldn´t a team with a good right winger do some damage there, even with two only decent wingers you could stretch that midfield somewhat. Still, pretty strong considering, they would have Nani, Giggs, Scholes and Saha on the bench not to mention Darren Fletcher and Alan Smith!
Thats how United will line up IMO, Nani and Anderson are just kids and are gonna need 2 or 3 years like Ronaldo did to get used to the league, Dont think Fergie will want inconsistent performances from kids.

But man, that team is really strong....

****ing hell Fredo so if we had payed 30mil in cash upfront you'd be happy? If Parry has got the price down from 27mil to 16-20mil for Torres we should be shouting how ****ing good a deal it actually is.
**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.
