Now we probably know why Rafa wanted to sign Heinze. I wouldn't be surprised if that deal is dead now.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

      That's life I guess.

Tevez is the best attacking player in the World IMO, only Kaka and Ronaldinho can be compered to him.

Praying this isn't true. They'll be f*cking incredible next season if Tevez is spearheading their attack.

            MAN UNI-TEV
EXCLUSIVE Fergie to get £20M Carlos in days
            By Alan Nixon 05/07/2007

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Sir Alex Ferguson is homing in on a £20million-plus deal for Carlos Tevez - and plans to do the deal inside 48 hours.

Ferguson has told his money men to get the Argentine striker and a delegation has gone to South America to get to the bottom of how exactly United can buy the controversial star.

Tevez is playing for his country in the Copa America, but his club future is being decided in talks between United and his handlers - plus former Brazilian club Corinthians.

United hope to sign Tevez for around £20m, but will go higher if necessary. However, they expect their cash on the table will see off rivals like Real Madrid, West Ham and even Manchester City.

Liverpool backed down because of the price.

The Old Trafford plan is to bring a 'clean' end to the saga by paying enough cash to the rightful owners of the star forward - one of the most wanted men in the game.

Tevez's registration with the Hammers has caused a storm that saw them fined £5.5m and almost docked points. Chairman Eggert Magnusson claims he is their player, but that is still open to dispute and interpretation.

Media Sports Investments, who have a stake in Corinthians, claim they have the economic rights to Tevez - and that he has only been at Upton Park on an extended 'loan'.

The whole affair has confused and angered football. Real Madrid were keen on Tevez but would prefer to pay over a period of time. That has left the way open for United to use their financial muscle to close the deal before the weekend.

They have not signed him yet and we are interested. Lets hope that Rafa will get the money to sign Tevez.

Or if that fails that West Ham indeed have an option to match Scums offer and can prevent him from moving

Even if they didn't, we still have a fair bit of ground to make up for to even challenge. Them getting Tevez makes a lot harder for us. Hopefully we get some quality wide players and make sure we win the games that we were losing / drawing last season. In so many games we completely dominated with no end product.

4th place at the end of next season. wishful thinking.
I said ages ago buying Tevez just to stop him being at a rival is just as important as having him.

He does seem similar to Rooney but I also think he can play the Scholes role so that's 3 for 2 places, united may not need him so to speak even though he will improve the team. But even if it costs them 10M for a year loan if it brings them CL or another PL then that 10M will easily be recouped.

This is where we are miles behind them - Tevez in a PL winning team will be so marketable.

Maybe that's why we were after Hienz.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Can I just say that Kuyt scored how many in the league this season 12 ?? Tevez 7-8?? Kuyts first season in the league as well. Agree that the filth will be stronger with Tevez in their side but I dont think we should start sh#tting ourselves

The question is where they will play him? he is certainly not out and out forward (i'd love to see him link up with Torres/Kuyt).

He plays the Rooney role so i would assume Sir Red Nose would be buying him as a striker. Yes maybe he can play the Scholes role but Man Yoo with Carrick, Scholes/Giggs and Hargreaves are pretty strong in that central position.

******* Man Yoo i hate them

They haven't signed him, and that deal will take time with all the complicated ownership stuff.

And yesterday we smashed our transfer record and signed Torres, remember?
