Al - just a thought on leafletting. Could be an idea to also get folk to give out leaflets during games to the people who are left watching it in the pubs. Might be more likely to get into the hands of those who'd be interested that way.

So as a founding member will i get share of the profits when you get into the prem?
no. we're a co-op. no profits. and no chance of being taken over either. all the profits gets ploughed straight back into the club and the team. a proper football club
I think this is a superb idea and has genuine potential to be a success.
Moreover, I have experience coaching younger kids and am currently working towards my FA Level Two Badge. I would love to get involved with the coaching side of things at some stage in the future when everything is up and running, even if it's just collecting balls or shadowing some proper coaches etc

we're developing a fully fledged youth system. where are you based?
Heard you on Talksport today Alun. You got yourself and your ideas across extremely well. I was staggered to hear that the average age of a PL fan is 43. I went to my first games with my mates in the Annie Rd end Nth in 78/79 aged 10 or 11. As you rightly stated that is now, both from a social and financial point of view, unthinkable. Good luck and I wish you and AFCLP well. I got my email and I'll sent my cash off ASAP.
Cheers , Dave
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Thanks Dave. It is pretty shocking. For those not in the family section in the Annie Road, have a look around you and check how many kids are at the ground and you'll see how true that stat is.
Also, Groundshare is moving along nicely and should have something to annouce soon!
Its actually going to happen (fingers crossed) so you can all keep an eye out and come along if you can. Youve all got a second to team to look out for now!
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.
FOUR hundred footballers are getting fit in the hope of playing for newly formed AFC Liverpool.
The non-league club, set up for fans fed up with rising Premiership ticket prices, holds its trials on Bank Holiday Monday.
Players will gather on Buckley Hill playing fields near Thornton to compete for first and reserve sides for next season.
AFC Liverpool was promised a place in the Vodkat League after getting the non-league seal of approval a few weeks ago.
Club spokesman Alun Parry said: “The response has been phenomenal. We have been inundated with hundreds of applications to play for the club, many of them from footballers who have played at a high level in the non-league game.
“We are a pro-LFC club working to create a genuine benefit for the community of Merseyside.”
The club hopes to launch youth, women, junior girls and disabled team, and ex-Reds player Erik Meijer is the official patron.
Around 1,000 people have pledged cash to the new team and plans for a groundshare with a Merseyside club are close.
A campaign to raise £10,000 has been launched. AFC Liverpool would be run as an Industrial & Provident Society.
