The problem is we don't get 3-0 up almost ever. We've been saying this for years but it just doesn't happen very often unfortunately.

      Incredible talent. Another Xabi Alonso

Let's hope he kicks on this year. Lots were slating him last season saying he'd lost it & was over rated. Time to shine Suso.

          Cheers Shaggy.

I hope Suso, Teixeira and Sterling get some playing time next year.

All 3 kids are future of this football club but to continue their development they need to play highly competitive football.

Being in reserves will not help them or us much.

Not sure if you have seen an entire match vs Greece but everything went through him.

Vision, touch, dribbling skills, passing etc. he was MOTM by a mile.

dont think he has the strength that alonso had but in his favour he is more mobile and can carry the ball into the final third without issue.

I dont think going one v one would phase him. Xabi didnt have the tricks that this lad has but lets not get carried away.

Alonso is a master at the top of his profession. Its unfair on the kid to compare him to xabi but as you say his potential is unbelievable.

Think its unfair to say Xabi didn't have tricks and mobility, he actually does. People just have this incorrect perception that all he does is stand still and spray passes

xabi's strengths lie elsewhere. the other lads are correct in that suso is more like silva or mata than alonso imo and there's a big difference in playing styles between alonso and silva.

Alonso couldnt do what silva does and silva couldnt do what alonso does. Thats not to say one is better technically than the other just that they are different.

Is it just me or does he not appear to use his right foot very often (if at all)?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Am I on my own in thinking it looks as though he'd learnt a lot from Gerrard? He's played several cross field passed and it very quick to get his head up and look for a pass. Starting to look a very tidy player. Cheers Rafa.
