We would never have signed Alonso, Torres or Mascherano if it weren't for Rafa. Top players value him, they know how good he is. He gets top players performing at their best. The bulk of our side, and all of our best players bar Suarez, are still Benitez buys and our brightest prospects - Suso, Sterling & Shelvey - are also all Benitez buys. His legacy is fantastic. Let's hope he gets another chance one day because he has unfinished business here.

I think people need to remember we're dealing with really young players when it comes to Suso, Sterling, Wisdom, Robinson and Yesil.

Some will adapt better and faster to life in the first team but they all have a good level of ability. For me Suso has worked hard and tried to keep thing simple and shown promise during the games he's played, linking up with Suarez nicely a few times.

I think once he's a bit more settled we'll begin to see him coming out of his shell a bit more, he's got all the tools to help us unlock defenses and that's something we've been lacking desperately for years.

I think Suso needs to be dropped out of it for a few weeks, he's technically great but how manys goals or chances as he created?
Thats his role in the team is to create, get a breather for a few weeks, come on as a sub, play the odd u21 game then bring him back into the team

Downing played a full season without scoring or creating a single goal. Suso has played how many games? Rotate him with Assaidi I agree but I think Assaidi is a similar player to Sterling and Rodgers clearly rates people who can play football and Suso is one of those.

Suso is very talented but he hasn't done much since coming up to the first team. Gifted lad but we need to see some end product from him if he's is going to start regularly. Although in saying that there is no way i'd drop him for Downing..Assaidi maybe but not Downing. Assaidi still has a lot to prove too against decent opposition he has been non existent.

Apart from Suarez our end product is embarrassing. Other players need to step up to the mark and not rely on Suarez every game. No wonder the guy overcooks things sometimes as he's the only one that is actually trying to make things happen.

I'd play Suso more rather than less.

Playing in PL is completely different than anything he has done thus far and he needs to learn and improve in every area especially in defense.

That said, he is a very creative player and can make this happen for us but he needs to be involved to make an impact.

Needs more touches and hopefully Brendan will give him 90 minutes as he is constantly subbed very early in the second half when he does start.

Very true there is talent there but just not quite ready.

Its not called hype, its called potential. The use of language is important to determine on which side of the fence you stand.

We have all this season for all our youngsters to develop. Not until end of November, not until Christmas. But all of this season. We're not going to get relegated (not while QPR, Norwich and Reading are here).
