I always think Brendan has been pretty ruthless - If someone doesn't perform they get dropped, and if Brendan doesn't trust em he won't sub them on. We've seen it with Borini, Assaidi, Aspas, Moses, Alberto and Suso last season.
That's not seeing the whole picture though, I agree he can be relatively ruthless but that's rightly so as he also is quite prepared to change his mind if the player steps up in training etc, and pretty much every one of those you list have been given chances, they just didn't take them. Look at Henderson, Enrique & Downing last season, Flanno recently etc. One of my favourite things about Rodgers as a manager is how much he picks on merit, I think it sends a fantastic message to the squad / younger players and we've seen positive results from it.

        He did.

Came on in the 55th minute when Almeria was 1 goal down and completely turned the result around.

He was by far the best player on the pitch in the second half.

it'd be great to see him dribble and trick his way through two rows of chelsea buses

And Sterling 19. I think he will play increasingly in the hole.

Well deserve after a tackle, says the reports. Mostar will probably fix a link soon, as that is what does best.

Make Us Dream: Will Suso come back next season and break into first team? Same goes for Ilori or will they be loaned back?

JP - The last time I spoke to Brendan Rodgers about Suso he was saying how pleased he was with the Spaniard’s development during his year. Obviously, Ilori, who hasn’t even played a first team game yet, also has a future at Anfield.

I'd be surprised if either of them went out on loan next season. With Liverpool needing a bigger squad to compete both domestically and in Europe, there will be more opportunities for those types of young players.

Much will hinge on what business Liverpool do this summer and how the likes of Suso and Ilori measure up in pre-season.

Has anyone watched Granada much to see how Ilori has actually played?

Nice assist here but not much on YouTube, which is the only real indication of a player's ability
