Suso has already agreed wages, and the length of a contract with AC Milan. He could even join in January, for a nominal fee.

Liverpool and Suso's representatives have been in talks over a new contract, but the two parties have failed to reach an agreement on wages.

      Disappointing if he goes.

Major **** up this is if he ends up going.

This is good news. People might finally stop banging on about him being the next big thing.

I was never convinced by him. He wasn't awful but not up to the level we want and I couldn't ever see him dealing with the pace and power of the premiership.

Scores a goal against a Championship side, goes back to been a starlet. Let him leave, he'd never have made it here.

If he is not going to be given a real chance to prove himself and it appears he won't as BR doesn't seem to rate him then it would be the best for both parties to part ways.

I like Suso but I have doubts that he could ever make it with us.

If he was good enough he would have played more. It's that simple.

I don't know why it offends people who have hardly seen him play that those who have, rated him very highly and wanted him to do well.

Not sure if you watched him much in that first 18 months with us, but it was hard not to be impressed. Obviously he's not the only one to look great at that level and not make the grade, but in his few first team appearances he didn't really look that much out of place.

Which was more than the £20m man he replaced who is the same age as him.

Agreed. Accepted a while ago he won't make it here, but don't understand this perverse pleasure from some that another highly rated youngster has come and gone.

Yes, because it always works out like that. No club has ever made a mistake in letting a player go.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

There's no pleasure in that, jesus...
I wan't every young talent to succeed of course. It's the way some people talk about it like being a mistake from the club. As if Rodgers and his staff don't have a clue. Rodgers sees Suso every day in training, talks to him, has a staff analyzing every player...I trust them not to release a player with potential.

That's their opinion though and although I don't necessarily agree, it's not as black and white as you are making out, ie. if he was good enough, he'd play.

I support Rodger's and the club with the decisions they make, including this, but it doesn't necessarily mean they are the right decisions.

And if you 'trust them not to release a player with potential' and choose to believe the reports that we have offered him another contract, then clearly they do feel he still has potential, so it's understandable why some fans believe it's a mistake.

I don't. I'd be surprised if he makes it at Milan although the pace might suit him better. I watched him all the way through the youth teams and he never made the step up, same as Pacheco.
