He should get more game time here though. In reality, if we went out and bought somebody like Fabregas, Reus, Pogba or Vidal, then i could accept that he was not going to be good enough for LFC. However, we didn't. We purchased Adam Lallana. And we spent £25m on him. If Southampton had their heads screwed on at the time, then they would have got Suso thrown in as part of the deal because they could have probably developed Suso to be better than Lallana.

Teixeria will be the next one to fock off somewhere else (permanently) only to come back and haunt us.

When Rodgers first came in, it was like a breath of fresh air. He got rid of ****e like Joe Cole and gave the likes of Sterling, Wisdom and Suso their chance. It looked like the future was bright (hopefully it still is) but i genuinely thought that whenever we spent big money* from now on, it would only be on top top players - with the rest of the squad being made up of players that we developed ourselves. Flanagan was a ****in amazing example of this.

I suppose the point i am trying to make is summed up by looking at our signings. If we didn't spend £25m on Lallana and £20m on Lovren but instead spent £35m on Reus (or even up to 40 - 45m) and promoted Wisdom. Then i think we would have been better off. Likewise, if we spent £35m on Hummels and promoted Suso, then i think we would have been better off.

BR and the committee should have trusted their own ability to develop young players.

*(I don't class Coutinho and Sturridge as big money signings, but i would class Lovren, Lallana and Markovic).

If only it was all so simple.

He has shown glimpses of having something about him, but he hasn't shown it enough when given the chance.

As for Allen, I'd say he's probably in our strongest XI currently when fit.

Suso has the ability to be a good player, but in order for that to happen he needs game like you said; he's not going to get them here. A move would probably be best for everyone involved.
          Aye, don't disagree.

Just offering some sort of defence to those arguing that because he didn't make it here, he obviously wasn't good enough. Think it's a bit more complex than that and that he is still a decent player, even if I have long accepted his future lies elsewhere.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thought you liked Lallana? Make your mind up.
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

not sure he was slating lallana, more pointing out the development of existing players & bringing in world class layer being the better option.

I'm sure your mum tried but in the end she gave in.

Hope he gets a run out tomorrow. Reckon he could still make it here, I mean if Rickie Lambert gets a game he should get a game also tbf.

Is it confirmed that Suso is going? He's definitely got something to offer to this squad and still only a young player

Classy player. Wants the ball and is comfortable on it. Keep.

Deserves more game time, if he left on a free it would be very poor business on our part.

Agree. Not sure what he's got to do to get a go here.

He was great wasn't he! Definitely made his point. I doubt we'll be in any rush to sell him after that, he still has something to offer this team off the bench. Has goals in his game too.
