The club clearly see something in him cos they want him to sign a new contract. Probably so they can sell him for a bigger fee

If he was fit though I believe he'd offer more than Markovic right now has but he was signed for a big fee so has to be given every chance to succeed.

Don't take any pleasure in it though. As Craig Bellamy said about Charlie Adam, I wish him well.

Haha, it’s because of Pacheco that I’m not outraged at this decision, although Suso is still the most naturally talented player I’ve seen for our reserves.

I’m glad he is going to Milan and not taking a major step down, so hopefully he shouldn’t lose his motivation. He’s still only 20, was too good for reserve football from a very young age, did quite well at Almeria and didn’t disgrace himself at any stage in our first team. No reason to suggest he can’t kick on now and I’ll be interested to see where he’s at at 22/23.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

when BR first took over, then both Suso and Sterling made the break through together - at least Brendan gave them both opportunities to play anyway. At the time, i thought that Suso behind Suarez with Sterling on the left was going to be the lfc attack for the next 10 years!!! He looked awesome - like a potential David Silva.....

It will be interesting to see what happens to him but for me i wouldnt be surprised to see him go to milan and be a star. Possibly even to come back and haunt us in years to come.....

I can't wait to see what happens with all of our young players to be honest - because the potential is awesome. One of the main reasons Rodgers got the job is because he was one of these managers that was viewed as being capable of bringing through young players. Players like Ibe, Teixeria, Wisdom, Flanagan, Wilson, Sinclair......it will be intersting to see how many make it...

                  ..
we have always had potential with young players though.....But since Houiller it seems to have ramped up, I do hope BR and the current set up gets the best out of them as it feels we have had potential world beaters in our youth set up who have constantly failed to deliver......Still get the piss taken out of me for telling my friends that Tony le T would be better than Ronaldo in a few years.

I think we missed the boat with Suso, the way we've handled him has been bizarre after his initial impact, then loaning him out to get more game time and since he's been back he's barely kicked a ball and now we look like losing him on a free, just what was the point??

It's a shame. He's clearly very talented. I really don't think he was ever quite going to make the breakthrough so it's understandable. Annoying we'll likely not get a penny for him and not be able to have a buy back or sell on clause though

I think Italy might suit him, he'll get a lot of time on the ball there.
