Sure I heard recently that Barca want to go down the young keeper route, so that would discount Pepe. Valdes might be on his way out, but I can still see him being between the sticks for another year before a young starlet steps up...

Not sure where Pepe would end up, Arsenal? Not many places up for grabs in the top 6 European slots in the EPL...

Not many decent keepers hitting the headlines of late - just the usual suspects of Al Habsi and Begovic. Probably some decent young keepers in other European leagues.. but would they have the experience to just walk straight into the No 1 jersey at Anfield?... Brad Jones just doesn't fill me with any confidence if Pepe went...

Well there's already reports from Spain that Barca have agreed to sign Ter Stegen from Munchinggladbacks.

He's been decent since he came back from injury. Made some good saves last night which saved us from getting a good hiding...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Hes very erratic Reina, has been since that spanish goalkeeping coach left

I don't think Pepe has looked right or happy for at least 18 months. He's stuck in the football equivalent of a loveless marriage. Under Rafa, he foresaw great things for the club and himself - now he looks like a guy living with a dead dream.

You get the feeling that when our defence is exposed (which it inevitably is a couple of times in a game these days) he kind of goalkeeps in defeatist manner. In the sense of 'why did he have so much time and space to shoot' instead of really trying his best to make himself big and make the save.

Alot of finger pointing going on at the moment.

Liverpool's Pepe Reina dismisses ongoing Barcelona speculation.

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has reiterated he will not be rejoining Barcelona in the summer - but hopes Tottenham's Gareth Bale will join Real Madrid.

Reina continues to be linked with a return to his boyhood club after current keeper Victor Valdes announced last month that he would not be signing a new contract, with his deal set to expire in 2014.

The Spaniard dismissed reports he could return to Camp Nou earlier this month and he has reiterated his stance.

Reina, who has been at Liverpool since 2005, told Radio Marca: "Any talk of me joining Barca is just speculation. I've got a contract at Liverpool and I'm very happy here.

"I am sure Victor Valdes with have his reasons for deciding to leave Barcelona. I respect him. He's my teammate and friend. He'll be leaving with his head held high, as he's given his all to Barcelona."

Spurs ace Bale is another Premier League player being linked with a Spanish move and Reina admits he would not be sorry to see him go.

The 30-year-old joked: "If Real Madrid signs Bale, I'll be delighted. He causes me a lot of problems."

One player who Reina is not expecting to make a move to Spain is Reds team-mate Luis Suarez, who he believes will stay at Anfield.

"I can't see Luis Suarez playing in La Liga. I think he'll stay at Liverpool. He's a great player," he added.

"So are Bale and a few others in the Premier League."

Nice one Pepe. Lets hope the club feel the same.

Hope he stays. The way some people go on you'd think quality keepers grow on trees.
We need to improve the defensive sheild infront of him and the defense needs to push up the pitch rather than stand on his (Pepe) toes. Pepe is a sweeper and needs space to be at his best.

I know it's a bit sentimental, but if i could pick which players that imo deserved to be in the team at the time we won our first Prem title, then Pepe would be in that side.
