In the end who knows, we just have to wait an see. I'm happy enough that we will definitely have a good keeper next season.

I think he will be excellent for us and he is Belgian which is the future superpower of football

Will if that's the case that really is pretty bold and actually we certainly need competition in goal as we've had nobody pressing him for the position since his arrival.

As you say though Bender I'd still expect him to leave esp. if we're spending c.£10M on a keeper.

There's no chance we are paying 10m for a lad to come and sit on the bench nor are we paying Pepe 100k a week to do the same. He'll be off, Arsenal will be all over it.

And Mignolet will not tolerate joining us to be second choice when he is competing with Courtois for the Belgium goalkeeping position.

Who else are looking for a new goalkeeper besides Arsenal? Reina wouldn't fancy a crack at Monaco would he?

Or maybe Barcelona will sign him on a two year deal and then ask him to support/compete with Ter Stegen during his second year. By then, Ter Stegen would be ready to take on the pressures of being Barcelona's No.1 for years to come.

Yep, Arsenal have been very quiet after it looked like Julio Cesar was going there. That link seems to have disappeared.
Pepe, and co, have been pimping themselves for a while now with Barca, but he may find himself without a chair to sit on this coming season.

Mig will be on around 80k........we are not made from money.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has told talkSPORT that Simon Mignolet is being bought by the club as competition for Pepe Reina.

                    Looks like we're loaded then

Looked likely for a while, good signing for Arsenal if it comes off.

Wenger signing experience for once, if they now have money to spend like rumoured it just goes to show how good of a job he's done keeping them in the top 4 while they sort out their finances. Very unselfish.

Arsenal or whoever, Brendan's telling porkies. There's no way either of them will be content to sit on our bench and we haven't got 10m to waste on a backup option.

In any case, the dinner they had together was 'a few months ago', probably when Pepe was pretty certain he'd be in Barcelona this summer.

It wouldn't be a waste if Pepe got injured. And if he displaced Pepe on form, it wouldn't be a waste. If it was our last £10m then fair enough, but it isn't.
