Given that the money to build them has come from oil, I dont think some solar panels on the roof will compensate for building them, knocking them down, shipping them across the world, and rebuilding them.

I don't understand your point? Of course the solar energy does not compensate for shipping the stadiums other places, it just provides clean power for cooling the stadiums. On the shipping them to Africa, it will of course polute, but it will not polute more than building completely new stadiums in that part of the world.

what does it have to do with them selling oil? No country produces clean products today, and european countries polute far more than the oil producing countries, so I'm not sure I understand that part?

So the latest is that Blatter and Platini have both said it should be in the winter. The vice head of Qatar football federation has just said he doesn't want the time changed to winter and that he expects it to be in summer as planned and detailed in the bid instructions.

And Platini has recently suggested Quatar could maybe share some of the games with neighbouring Gulf countries, which the Quataries have said **** off to, understandably.

Could FIFA make any more of a mess out this World Cup, ffs. They've have basically said 'here's the world cup, we'll sort the details out later'.Absolute clowns.

Qatar will make it work trust me.. im actually kinda shocked they cancelled the f1 gp over here but thanks to some idiots they had to cancel it just control everything. this is the first time this happened over here and by tommorow there is probably going to be a solution.
