as much i hate the ginsouk **** he doesnt make it about him maureen is all about him.Originally posted by red g View PostAu contraire Marsh.......It seems to me nobody loves Mourinho but plenty respect what he has done and can see he is a quality quality manager.
Its the ridiculous way people jump down his throat at any sign of weakness he shows that makes me laugh as if it proves there point.
Nobody thinks he is superhuman, I think he is a quality quality manager who so far has guaranteed trophies wherever he has gone.
BUt does Fergie losing 4-0 against WHU make any difference to his standing in the game? of course not.
thats what people dont like.

That's what each and every player playing under him probably believes. He's got a team, in Barca, which will put his special one status to the test this season. We'll see how he fares.Originally posted by red g View PostI think with his record he deserves to be called the special one imoAre we winning?

It's just one game, obviously he's one of the best managers out there, still is..always will be i imagine, ok his sides don't play the style of play some like to see, but he wins...so it's not a problem for him, he has his faults as does every human being, and can be a right wum and a lier if it helps him win, and lots of people dislike him because of this.Originally posted by Craig_H View Post
Everything he's done and won has been completely wiped out and ruined - he is now officially a **** manager. All down to one game.
Fact is...it's just nice to see such a great and unmodestly outspoken manager brought down to earth with a bang.
But one game means nothing about his overall ability and it's daft to say otherwise....don't know if anyone has really suggested one 5-0 loss means he's ****, haven't read back that far.

He actually doesnt call himself 'the special one' - that is bollocks.Originally posted by Marsh View Postyou cant dismiss the fact that he calls himself the special one from the argument
its the reason why we all love it when he loses.
its a bit like ignoring Roy when discussing how **** we are doing this year
In his first ever press conference after being unveiled as Chelsea manager, he said "I am not one from a bottle. I think i am a special one. [manager]"
His point was, that he isnt just another random/average manager, that he is more than that - and he is.

As for whether anyone is suggesting that the 5-0 loss means anything - well as i said mate, it's comments like "Oh, well he wasnt so special on monday, was he?" *smirk* etc etc - comments of this ilk.

As I've said, he gets outwitted by better managers from time to time.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostGood post

He's been the best over the course of an entire season because of the talent in depth he has, but sometimes in one to one matches, with teams of equal ability, he'll get beaten by sheer tactical masterclasses, which is a bit more progressive than 'parking out the bus'.

Which manager never gets outwitted from time to time?Originally posted by NigelLG View PostAs I've said, he gets outwitted by better managers from time to time.

By the way - just because he loses a match, doesnt make the other bloke a 'better manager'.

Shouldn't have deffered the 2nd match ban and should have banned Xabi and Ramos for a 2nd game too as they would for a violent conduct etc. The basic concept in punishment should always be that the penalty is greater than the potential reward.
Having said all that making judgements on the intention or spirit of actions in this case is opening up a can of worms and needs tidying up within the rules."that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho looks upon his two-match European ban for improper conduct as a "medal" and as "a historic punishment".
Mourinho was banned earlier in the week following allegations he had deliberately engineered two red cards in the Champions League clash at Ajax.
Both Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos picked up yellow cards for time-wasting with cameras picturing the Madrid manager sending messages onto the pitch.
However, rather than fume at the decision, the eccentric Portuguese coach has hailed the punishment.
"I see this punishment as a medal," Mourinho said.
"I'm not going to change. My grandmother died a long time ago but I remember what she told me as a child. 'If they are envious of you, you should be happy', and this has happened to me.
"I'm pleased there is one rule for Jose Mourinho and one for the other coaches. It's a historic punishment for me.
"Following the line of my old grandmother, it's a medal not a punishment.
"I can't leave the technical area, others can. I can't pick up a ball an adversary wants, others can.
"I can't speak with the fourth official, others can. They are medals for the special one, I am the chosen one, so no worries."
Meanwhile, Los Merengues will be without Sergio Canales for three to four weeks after the midfielder sprained his ankle in training.
A statement from the club said: "An MRI performed on Sergio Canales revealed a Grade II external lateral ligament sprain of the left ankle.
"The player is expected to miss three to four weeks depending on his progress."
Real are still reeling from their 5-0 thrashing at Barcelona on Monday and have the chance to bounce back when they take on Valencia on Saturday.
