I dont see where it says that players arent free to commit fouls deliberately, knowing that punishment is coming their way. It's the same thing.
Your for real with this ?

It's the way the rules work. You commit an illegal act, you get a punishment.

If you're willing to take the punishment, then fair enough.

Theo Walcott running 75 yards at Anfield, in that CL game, when he set up Adebayor and looked like they had knocked us out of the CL - to a man, people around me in the ground were all shouting 'take him out' 'hack him' 'foul him' etc etc - same theory.

I was the one shouting 'kill the *******'.

What an experience that game was though, brilliant

Pure conjecture, no evidence whatsoever to suggest that was deliberate. UEFA didn't investigate LFC/Rafa/Dirk did they.

I'll be honest with you, I can't remember the Kuyt incident but we both know this has happened many many times before. Complete over-reaction on here.

That it's happened before doesn't make it right.

                          Is it worse than diving?
                          Oh I don't know.

Different issue isn't it. Diving is diving whereas this circumventing of the rules not only affects the game in which the incident has taken place, but has an influence on other ensuing games. Or game.

And it's obviously it's happened before but this was so brazen, such a ****ing piss-take, that they should be taken to task. A precedent has been set with the Lyon players but a nominal fine as punishment is a joke.
