But, but, he's only doing it to take the attention off his players..

No doubting his ability as a manager, but he's still an arrogant rule breaking ****.

Oh, inter...the job he ran away from...scared and knowing he would'nt be able to carry it on, instead plumping for a team that just spent over 200mill in one season. Aye, very good at picking jobs is Maureen.
So what was his net spend there?

Or doesnt it prove your theory enough to be discussed?

He's doing it so that key players arent suspended for a meaningful game.

Winning is the only thing that counts for Mourinho. He will do whatever it takes to do it.

Play acting, acting like an idiot, cheating, take opposition key players out of the game, like Lampard did to Xabi and Essien did to Hamann.

Winning is the only thing that counts no matter how bad it looks.

Talking about his general behaviour, not this instance alone. (it's often good to look at the post someone is replying to, so you can see the context of what's said).

              What's the theory?

I'm a big fan of Mourinho as a short-term, success-guaranteed manager, not necessarily the person though, although I suspect if he's your manager then it changes things. I've also seen no evidence that he gives a **** about building a club's legacy, the only legacy he's interested in building is his own.

One thing I don't think you can argue with though is that apart from perhaps Porto he's managed the dominant team in the league when it comes to money spent - Chelsea spent money on a different level and Inter Milan did too.

I can see what you're angling for, which is to say that Mourinho didn't NET spend much at Inter but that's not quite the whole picture.

would you like ginsoak here for a couple of seasons.

his record in the epl isnt bad. i imagine the results would be better than they are now.

It's easy to just blurt out how Mourinho has always had gazillions to spend. Harder to actually substantiate though.

I never mentioned about a legacy, and that's obviously not what he tends to offer.

The idea that he's only ever won because he's spent obscene amounts of money, is clearly not true.

While i do agree, lots of the crap and insults he comes out with have nothing to do with winning.

The difference between Mourinho and Rafa for example is that Mourinho is totally ruthless.

Rafa won't do everything to win. He won't make the club look bad because he care about the fans and the club long term.

Mourinho don't give a **** about that. Just as Marsh said, For Mourinho what c(o)unts is himself, no one else comes into the equation.

you cant argue with marueens record you can objectivly question it though.

he is one of the best coaches/managers in the world. no argument

however becasue he is good he has been careful about what jobs he took and when. this has helped him look as good as he does. he wouldnt have been able to if he wasnt as good as he is.

however his teams seem to be percieved as cheating more than others. all teams cheat all players do. However Maureen seems to be more brazen about it. it looks like he thinks he is untouchable.

dont forget anders frisk. that shows the true colours of maureen.

great coach awful man. its the awful man bit that means many fans wouldnt like him at liverpool. i suspect many would as well becasue all we want to do is win.

Forgetting his utter cuntishness, he is undoubtedly a very good manager but I don't think I've ever seen his biggest detractors try and deny that. And I'm one of them. I ****ing hate the smarmy cunt

He's a very good manager but I'd reserve judgement over all this all-time great talk until he goes somewhere that won't slip a silver spoon into his mouth and a gold credit card into a pocket of his Matalan overcoat.

Real is his biggest challenge yet - what with having to overcome an amazing Barca team - but even then they spent a fortune in the summer, the team is worth about £400m and he can buy whoever he likes.

I'd love to see him undertake a real challenge, like...I dunno....the one Rafa had with us. A proper ****ing challenge. He'll run out of easy jobs soon enough and then we'll see how great he really is. As I read elsewhere, he'd probably sooner retire than risk ruining his mystique by taking on a club without a competitive advantage and doing ****e.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Did he have a golden card at Porto? Genuine question, how did Porto work out so well?

Yes, compared to his rivals in the Portuguese league he had what you would call a competitive advantage.

However he won the CL with them in 04 and on that scale, no, they were relative minnows. He did get extremely lucky - United should've knocked them out but had a legitimate goal ruled out for offside when it wasn't, and then with the last kick of the game and Porto going out, Tim Howard dropped a clanger and Porto scored. I remember it well - I was there, in with the in-breds, ready to explode with joy. I vividly remember seeing Mourinho go sprinting down the touchline. I loved him that day, my first encounter with him.
