Unconfirmed reports stating England only got 4 votes in the first round.
To be honest I wouldn't be suprised, it seems no-one in football likes the English, and it seems the strength of the bid has little effect on the final outcome.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Just heard a good point on the radio re BBC/Panorama program.
If they are corrupt the FIFA officials would be angry to be exposed and if they aren't corrupt they'd be just as angry to be unfairly tainted as such - lose / lose.
Why couldnt the BBC have aired Panorama next week FFS?
Not sure if that's what it came down to but it certainly wouldn't have helped.

Now been confirmed that England did fall at the first round.
Losing to Russia I can take, but finishing 3rd or 4th...
Who else came above us, have they revealled the result of the votes?

Well done to our esteemed 'free press' - bunch of arrogant, egotistical ignorant ******s.
Can anybody give me example of any good things the press have done??? all they seem to do is go on witch hunts and print lies
Free Press is essential any organisation upset at the truth being exposed has no morl leg to stand on. We are all pissed off, but don't plame Panorama and even less the concept of a free press. What should follow in the post should be in the Library so I'll leave it for now, but don't shoot the messenger.
