Great. A ****ing shoe-in for punditry on the BBC. Cue Martin's attention seeking controversial and "hilariously outspoken" commentary.

O'Neill is over-rated I've never got what all the hype was about.Originally posted by Chazza View PostThey have been **** virtually all season and should have binned him around Christmas to give a new manager a few quid and the chance to bring in some decent players who were not Danny Graham.
He spent the best part of £30m on Fletcher, Johnson and Graham
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

new manager new ideas etc = 2/3 wins + a few draws and the odd loss or two = prem statusOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostThey should really have got rid of him earlier if they were going to sack him, I mean losing to United from a deflected OG & then sacking him seems quite harsh in isolation, you'd imagine they'd been considering it for a bit but 7 games until the end is not long for anyone to come in and get their philosophy across to the team.

Massive risk changing him now really, they have 7 games with no window to bring someone in, it's going to take time to get these "ideas" across.Originally posted by Bender View Postnew manager new ideas etc = 2/3 wins + a few draws and the odd loss or two = prem status
Should have binned him at Xmas and given the new guy a transfer window and time to get things changed

well it's more a if we don't do nothing do we watch the club get relegated or do we do something and say we tried albeit too late ...just need a couple of wins and drawsOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostMassive risk changing him now really, they have 7 games with no window to bring someone in, it's going to take time to get these "ideas" across.

I guess all Sunderland need is to have "new manager syndrome" for a few games, a couple of wins would probably be enough to keep them up. But as I say they have a difficult run of fixtures. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
