You know what - it would be a great wind-up to send Houllier an official looking letter saying that there was going to be a nostalgic evening in his honour - looking back at the Houllier years at LFC. Somewhere like the Hilton hotel in Liverpool........ and then film him from across the road rocking up to it!!!!

was solid enough at times but could always do some outrageous stuff like bring a ball down from 60 yards go on a great run beat 2 or 3 men (slight exaggeration) but you get the point to then putting the ball straight out of play from a 2 yard pass or straight from a throw inOh I say his vision there was lovely

He was a good player for 3 or 4 seasons, IMO he was under-rated by many on here, but the last couple of years he hasn't been good enough and now is the time for him to move on. I think we should acknowledge what he did for us and wish him well. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Don't see anything wrong with either of those things. Houllier had a great affinity with both the city and the football club.Originally posted by frank the tank View Postremember when Houllier played Liverpool when he was manager of Aston Villa.....
he basically milked the kop like he was milking a ****in cow...... whilst didn't even acknowledge the Villa fans!!! And the story of him going into the dressing room in Istanbul was just cringeworthy!!!!
.
He gave us that magnificent treble season and the team that won the European cup was save for one or two notable exceptions his squad.
Entirely understandable why he behaved as he did on both occasasions.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Club just announced that he has been released.
He was an odd one for me. In his prime years his form dipped horrendously. Still only 30! I guess he will be picked up by Villa or someone similar. QPR would have been perfect.
He did fantastically well for us for the first 2 years. After that his form went for a ****. Bye John
*Except Michael, who died.
