Guys, if he had truly wanted to stay at Newcastle, then imo..he would have.
He's a Geordie lad, of course he does'nt want the fans to think he was gone the first time someone tries to buy him, and i think lfc would go along with that, no doubt he'll say he's a pro..and will give his all to lfc..blah blah blah, Newcastle the club he supports..blah blah, but for lfc, as an ambitious footballer he wants to win games of football, that's all that really matters to us going forward now.Last edited by Vermilion; 01-02-11, 01:48 PM.

Thought he'd not long signed a contract?Originally posted by paulc View PostStriker Andy Carroll says Newcastle asked him to hand in a transfer request before his £35m move to Liverpool.
The 22-year-old, who signed a new deal in October, claims he was in talks over an improved contract when it became clear that he was no longer wanted.
However, Magpies boss Alan Pardew insists he was not forced to leave.
He told the Shields Gazette: "We had a conversation about him wanting a new contract, and [Carroll said] if he did not get that contract he wanted to go."

I think he's just playing to their masses a bit. Afterall, he's got family and friends there so will be going back all the time and wont want "You traitor cunt" thrown at him everytime he walks the street.
If he didnt want to be here, he wouldnt be here. But I'm sure he's sad at leaving aswell, it is his home afterall but he'll adapt.

He may have wanted to stay at his hometown club but that's a positive aspect about his character. Regardless of any of this, you can still guarantee he will give 100% for the shirt.
He's going to be Liverpool and Englands No. 9 for years to come and I have to say it's an exciting prospect.Forwards.......

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

****ing delighted we have secured this man beast!!
He's going to be ****ing boss for us. Doing all the head banging up front leaving defenders quivering in thir kecks.....and thus leaving Suarez to weave his magic.
The price is steep. But if he's the player Kenny wanted then so be it. No more settling for second choice targets."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

How many times have we seen the mancs, chavs or city spend ridiculous amounts on a player and wished we could go all out to get the number 1 target?
I expected FSV to be conservative in their dealings, but in their first window despite pulling in 50m for 1 traitor they spent everything they got, smashed our transfer record TWICE, and were even trying to spend more! And it was only a January window!
That was an immense window and a great sign of intent.

Yip - no more sulking ****ers with their hands on their hips standing up front..
I can't wait to see our No 7 & 9 in action, actually empting their tanks during a game, and leaving all their effort out on the grass, not sulking around..
Come on our Andy & Luis !!!Last edited by Molby; 01-02-11, 02:35 PM.
