Yeah I pretty much agree. Obviously on TalkSport the presenters are encouraged to say "controversial" things to get in the callers, but I don't often seem to get annoyed by much of what he says.
I know people point to things in his past, but he does seem to have learnt from his mistakes and seems like a decent bloke now.

Agree on this, he seems to be a reformed Character since his time on Talksport. Plus he loves liverpool when he talks about them
I cant listen to it most of the time. Espeically when it comes to Durham and Gough. There so completly out there with there views, that the only calls they get are from angry people telling them there wrong.
I feel a bit sorry for Carroll, he seems a bit bemused by it all. He's a young lad who's left home, left his family and friends, with no mental preparation whatsoever. Found himself in the middle of a whirlwind move and he still seems in shock to me. Probably living in a hotel for now. Not gonna be easy for him, he'll need loads of support.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Aye, Gateshead's a fishbowl too. Really parochial place so chances are the knackers he's had in his life have been there for the past 20 years. That said, having seen him out and about a few times, I think the separation may not be the worse thing in the world.
Thought he handled himself pretty well, came across as quite humble and with a real appreciation of where he's ended up. I think I may actually be starting to love the game a bit again
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Hes apparently staying in the Hope Street hotel
The club will look after him the onus will be on the senior players to take him under their wings and make it easier for him, thats what we have been good at for a number of years now
At least he has knows a couple of people up here (outside of the club) through his friendship with Nolan
The onus is on our captain to do his bit. Have him round for dinner, take him to the cinema, push him on the swings at the park etc. I can almost visualise it as a montage now.

Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
