Tbf, it didn't take much getting better to get a better player than Carroll.

And yes Lee, Carroll is far worse than Aquilani.

to continue with the theme of reviewing past polls...

Carroll deserves at least one more season than the current one. 46.56% of the voters...

    Same. PTP is talking ****e.

Probably Mike Ashley phoning up the papers telling the press that Arsenal were linked. The Arsenal link seemed to only come up because he scored an embarrassing slow motion high hanging header against them. Infact, his whole dodgy reputation seemed to be built on that game against Arsenal.

He was diabolically ****e. Worst signing in Liverpool's history.

Spurs bid for anyone, they're scattergun. They bid for Charlie Adam too, Redknapp sticking bids in for players isn't an endorsement of their ability.

He was for a time the flavour of the month thats for sure, We were just the unlucky ones who signed him

the issue is and always will be the cost of the transfer, imo a more realistic value would have been £10m to £15m - which is less risk and of an impact - however we have to factor in the Torres transfer of £50m! in reality Torres should have been sold for about £30m and Carroll signed for about £15m - which still equals £15m nett spend.

Moving on though, he signed, he did some decent things for us, world class performance at home to city stands out, and the joy i had being at wembley when he nodded in the winner against everton i'll never ever forget,

ultimatley though off the pitch it's clear he has a bit a lifestyle which effects him on the pitch and we where right to get rid and looking at it now we've actually done well to get him off our wage and some money back and it's not our problem

After reading that book I'm not worried that we will sign a player that have a problem that will affect him on the pitch.

I thought that it was a joke when a friend said how they scout players now but the book explains how football scouts work and it wasn't a joke.
