]Much, much better tonight. Possibly his best performance for us in my opinion. Gone from strength to strength the last few games. Keep it up Andy[/B]!
Thought he played well, you can see his confidence is growing, the pass he took in the
1st half where he took the ball on his right but unfortunately slipped as he attempted to turn, had he managed the turn that could have been a contender for goal of the season. I know it's all ifs and buts but he wouldn't even have attempted that earlier in the season. Long may the improvement continue.
Andy is coming along nicely, his hold up play has been getting stronger and stronger, hes found a yard of pace, his jump, his first touch, all dramatically improved, we might just have a 35 million striker on our hands after all. I just cant wait for him to start getting consistent service. At the moment its all balls from Pepe, or simular types of high up in the air pass's, a few early wiped in balls from Adam drifting out to the left or Stevie on the right would not go amiss ...

Johny Evans please ... Evra must be kaking himself because make no mistake about it, he has been there weakest link for some time now, I would love Kenny to just go balls out, and put Luis on Evra right from the off

On that point... watch the hypocrisy when Suarez has to deal with 70,000 ******s screaming abuse eyes popping out of there fat empty heads for how ever long he is on the pitch and not a single comment on wether thats acceptable behavior. Even if you subscribe to the idea that he did the crime, he paid the price but I seriously doubt we will get any ****ing support from anyone as usual ... any idea on the Ref for this one ?

he was winning the flick on a lot more last night, good improvment. Others now need to start taking a chance and running on to these to get the best out of it.

his control from those flick ons is really sharp, we should have two runners either side of him

I didn't think he was anything special, but there is a reason for that.
Our system requires a mobile forward to play on the edge of the defence, to explode or be mobile enough to carve chances for yourself.
He's doing the bare minimum, working his socks off, winning balls in the air. I'm still reserved on him. He didn't improve last night. He didn't regress either.
And about his flick-ons. It's getting to a stage now where our fans are blaming the entire midfield for not running onto them. Our players do not play like that. It has to be get the ball down, hold it up, lay it off and make intelligent runs. Carroll is supposed to play to the TEAM way, not the team to the CARROLL way.

It's when he doesn't win the flick on that is the problem, if he controls it with his chest it takes an age for him to get the ball down to his feet and then to find a pass. Only thing we can do is lob the ball at his head.
