Definitely.Originally posted by Mostar View PostI expect him to end up there.
Fans love him, he wants to go back and they need more options upfront.
That said, we anything around 10m would be probably the best we can expect in the given circumstances.
I just hope Newcastle don't think they're above Carroll. He's worth very little isn't he.

I just don't think he makes a good plan B for us. You have a team designed to play slick, technical passing football, then you have Carroll to do what, come on and lumber about looking for direct balls into the box? He's not got the touch of a Crouch to link up play, and on evidence from West Ham so far (3 in 15), he's not really a huge goal threat even in a team playing to his supposed strengths.Originally posted by memzey View PostI'd rather keep Carroll even if its just as a plan B option.
Plus there's the fact that he really didn't look right playing with our existing players like Suarez last season. So I don't really buy the "plan B" thing, at least with Carroll and think if that's what we need, we could buy a better fit for us to do that job with whatever we get for him.

Worst Transfer and Worst Fraud in History was George Weah's Cousin
Followed by the player we signed from A YouTube Clip
Then Bebe
Then Andy Carroll
Who was the youtube player?
I agree though, but only because Carroll is mitigated by the hilarity of £50m for Torres without his mojo.
Nah, they'll take him back, they'll just want as cheap a deal as possible. If we get £10m back from them we'll be doing really well at this rate. Which is why I'd probably take a fit Ben Arfa instead (doesn't have ages left on his contract, reckon they'd do that deal).Originally posted by Lee View PostDefinitely.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

When you factor in wages and total cost including sell on value, I think Torres is probably worse, albeit Chelsea did win CL after he joined.Originally posted by Nigey View PostThe worst transfer in history. No, the worst fraud in history. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Because he is one dimensional, and he isn't very good at that dimension either. He doesn't even meet the basic standard of what we need from any player, like passing and control.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostI don't see why Carroll can't be a viable Plan B. we're crossing the ball more regularly now for a start.
Also, teams who sit deep are very comfortable dealing with this type of "plan b".
