Deffo - best case for us was West Ham and Newcastle both wanted him to keep the price up but if there's only one club interested, we just need to accept anything.

As Rodgers has said - he's not bothered about money received for a player versus what we paid for him as that was all before him - if we make £10M from Carroll it's £10M for him to spend on someone not ****.

That's a bit harsh IMO.

Coutinho 8.5 m.
Sturridge 12 m.
Allen 15 m.
Borini 10 m.
Assaidi 3 m.
Sahin Loan

Coutinho and Sturridge are on their way to being successes. Allen was overpriced but is very young and is finding his way again. Borini has had rotten luck with injuries but we'll recoup a big chunk of his fee, he's only what 21? Assaidi is of little use but we'll sell him on without loss IMO and Sahin was a failure.

It's not **** IMO, I'm not a fan of Brendan (although he's winning me over slowly) but this isn't ****. As a side note he's getting value of of Downing and Henderson as well.

As has been said before, way too early to judge the summer signings, I think Allen and Borini will be decent players for us.

Rodgers only joined the club last summer as well, he bought in players that he knew which is understandable. 6 months into the job, when he's had time to asses the squads needs and requirements, he bought Sturridge and Coutinho. That says a lot about the manager IMO.
