    Joe Hart

Seriously how can he be considered good enough for a top side, he's full of mistakes! De Gea has taken some stick this season but he's much better than Hart IMO.

tbf Pepe has some awful ricks from time to time but I'd still say he's good enough for a top side.

He's about 29 levels too good for them

West Ham set to hammer out deal on Andy Carroll
                          15 May 2013 07:59
West Ham United are keen to ensure Geordie striker Andy Carroll remains at Upton Park

West Ham United are poised to make sure they net the signature of Andy Carroll.

And they have planned talks with the on-loan Geordie striker before he plays the final game of his loan period against Reading this weekend.

The Hammers want to trump any rival clubs – including Newcastle – for the permanent addition of the Liverpool striker, and are set to have a final sit-down discussion with the England international before he heads away on holiday.

Alan Pardew is an admirer of Carroll, but the 17million asking price and astronomical wages may mean it is a case of no deal this summer, especially with other more affordable targets on the Continent lined up.

Carroll’s name though will certainly be up for discussion when United’s top brass sit around the table for their radical end-of- season review.

And with West Ham aware of United’s interest, they want to use their position of being in the box seat for Carroll to full advantage.

A £17m fee for his services has already been agreed between Liverpool and the Hammers.

But West Ham are struggling to add the figures up to achieve the fee and ultimately it will

be Carroll’s choice whether he stays or goes next season.

Liverpool can’t prevent him from fighting for his place next season and the Teams lad has three years left on his current deal.

As reported in the Chronicle on April 23, Carroll wants to be back at Liverpool for the first day of pre-season training and is determined prove Brendan Rodgers wrong.

Carroll’s old Toon boss Kevin Keegan has also advised the striker to move on.

He said: “I think it’s obvious that Brendan doesn’t want him back. A manager normally takes a look at him then loans him out at Christmas.

“He got rid of him straight away. That tells its own story.”

Anfield sources also say that Carroll will be told that he has no future at Liverpool again. But given that Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson were also told they weren’t guaranteed first-team football this term and have still played prominent roles for the Reds, he is prepared to take his chance.

The Hammers handed Sam Allardyce a fresh two-year deal only last week and the ex-Newcastle boss will hold talks with Carroll in due course to tell him he wants him to lead his line of attack next season.

Carroll will also have influential West Ham captain and close friend Kevin Nolan using his powers of persuasion too, and Upton Park co-owner David Gold has already gone public to say the ex-Toon number nine is their “number one priority”.

West Ham’s master plan is to thrash out an agreement with Liverpool and Carroll before he heads on holiday.

But Carroll is expected to ask for time over the summer and the option of discussing with friends and family before making a big decision.

The Geordie must also wait to see if he is included in England’s end-of-season friendlies against Ireland and Spain. Roy Hodgson was at Newcastle’s clash with West Ham recently to run the rule over the striker.

I just hope someone else wants him as well, so that he can at least command a fee close to the £17m. Any team that has him is likely to have a good chance of staying up. He might not fit in with Rogers plans, but in the right set up he can be extremely effective.
