Surely due a comeback then. I bet the founder of the chain of 90s bars that have sprung up in literally some locations suffered similar criticism. Surely his ability to scrape enough weekend trade to cover the rent and break even has proven the value of seemingly premature retrospective by those on the wave of the zeitgeist.

Barring a massive injury crisis is he even gonna kick a ball in anger this campaign. Isn't he still captain of Denmark FFS? If he doesn't sling his hook he can surely forget the Danish national team. They won't pick a player not playing at all for his club side. This is just posturing over money, surely?

It's a good point. He's probably seen Jovanovic get a little bit of coin for moving on and he's after the same ... either that, or he realises he's shot and has no future in the game with all the young whippersnappers biting at his heels, so he's happy to sit back, get paid and retire.

I hope it's the former.

It think this well shows the double moral of some fans. The anger shown at players like Torres, Mascher etc. (no comparison in skill btw) for not showing their willingness to fight for a place, and then getting angry when a player not wanted by said fans shows a willingness to fight for a place at the club.

I don't blame Poulsen for wanting to fight for a stay at the club, we honestly need as many players as possible wanting that. I as basically all others, don't see a future for Poulsen here, and he probably rank about the last spot in terms of a chance of playing for us.

I hope he gets a good offer and leaves before the end of the window, but blaming him for wanting to be at LFC and being happy at the club is misjudged IMO.
