      They also say that Aguero is not very keen on City. They are working hard to convince him to come. Atletico fans are pissed off because City are offering the best deal.

        If he was keen on City then he would have signed for them ages ago. I would say that the hold up is because Atletico want to sell to City but Aguero don't want to move to them as you mentioned.

        The thing Aguero said that it isn't about money almost rules out City. Why would he suddenly say that PL is an option now when City have been interested a long time? Sounds like they are not an option but another club in the PL is.

                Apparently Aguero is on £240k a week at Atletico. It's not about the money.

                Though their fans are certain that the reason he's not keen on City is because he wants to go to Real.

                  If Aguero want to be a football legend then he should move to us. If he want to be loved by millions of fans then he should move to us. Look at our support in Asia compared to the support Chelsea got for example.

                  We are a top class option for Aguero. The ONLY missing bit is that we don't play in the CL this season but we will most probably do that next season so that isn't a big problem.

                  We can offer him top class wages. We can offer him top class football, we can offer him living his dream playing at Anfield.

                  If we want him then we should be able to get him.

                    Sorry mate but you are being wildly overoptimistic.

                    We're not even in Europe this year. The idea of us being a first choice just because of "who we are" is kind of silly really. We can't and won't pay even close to the sort of wages City or Chelsea will. Oh, and there's absolutely no credible reason whatsoever to believe we are even remotely interested in him, nor that we have the budget to go out spending another £40m+. All in all its perfectly reasonable to say its hugely unlikely we'll be even trying to sign Aguero, no matter how much we want to delude ourselves otherwise.

                    Which is fine anyway because he's hugely overrated by some people on this site. Quality player sure, but he's not the messiah.

                      Probably close to the truth but there is no way Atletico can sell to them without Aguero putting in a transfer request and explaining that Real is the only choice.

                      If they sold to them without the above happening then they are history. They are smart enough to know that so they must wait until Aguero puts in the transfer request demanding a move to Real.

                        No one know how much money we can spend. No one know our transfer budget. We may or may not be able to afford him but money could also not be a problem at all. We simply don't know. We don't even know who owns the club. Yes FSG owns it but who from FSG is involved? That is for example a thing we don't have a clue about.

                        If we rule out the money bit because as I said we don't have a clue about that then we are a very realistic option.

                                Just concerned that we've brought in some really good players but our rivals will still keep ahead by bringing in the likes of Aguero.
