I also think it's worth highlighting how ****ly this means Milan have treated Aquilani. He's clearly missed games for them purely for this reason. To manipulate his career in that way, drop him for games not based on form, is completely out of order IMO.

he only played a handful of games at the end of the year but he scored and made quite a few assists if i remember right. im sure a stat person could back that up
