Mark Gonzalez wasn't great for us, but a mile ahead of Downing when it comes to him as a player. He has pace, can beat his man and has a knack for goals. 3 qualities that Downing can only dream of. End of the day though, they're both mid-table players.

Playing on the right is still playing on the wing, is it not?
