Jose is Obviously a Boss Player, you dont put in the kind of performance he did and suddenly become **** over night, I think a lot of time fans don't take into account what may be happening off the pitch or with the players heath. All I know is he has it in his locker to put in MOM performances in two different positions on the Left Flank and is a monster in terms of strength .. and hes our Monster .. Genuinely chuffed for him.... I'm one of the people who said he can sling his hook if he keeps putting in shifts like that, and I think Rodgers again has played a blinder by pulling him out of the team to get his fitness and head right ... with Johnson and Enriqe playing on the Left opposition teams will just give up attacking on the left all together .. great strategy really gives us options

A bit orf perspective please. He had GJ covering him on Saturday against a poor Wigan team and was really only going forward. Still he played well to his credit.

Should he start at LB again? Probably, but there is the nagging doubt in my mind that he will just go back to his old ways, and these are better suited on the LW rather than LB.

I still hope we can bring in a top quality LB who can play our system more effectively than Jose has to date.

I agree, we really need a good left back for the team. Enrique played very well on Saturday because he was moved forward, and I have my doubts if he will ever become the LB we need. However it's not our most pressing problem right now, and to me it's more important getting some players in that can chip in goals than another lb.

But Enrique doesn't seem to be our long term solution for that position, he however does look promising around midfield so far!

We do have to be careful about Enrique looking like a promising midfielder. Downing looked alright as a left back, and he's been told to leave. I suspect that Enrique's attitude and desire is appealing to Rodgers at the moment, as is the recent quality displayed by him.

However, I can't see a long term future for him here and I'd expect Rodgers to sell him in the summer unless he continues with his recent level of performance.

I worry that it is more that he has large weaknesses and that at some points the teams he has been playing for have been able to compensate for his shortcomings. Perhaps like Bale he is just better suited to midfield rather than fullback. He seems willing to work on his game though which is a positive sign.

Yeah, definitely. I agree with that.

I'm always wary about moving fullbacks into midfield but Enrique does seem to be more comfortable going forward than defending at times.

I can, I think he can become a decent squad player, Frightens me to death as a LB, But while we have Robinson coming through and nobody at LW I think he can do a half decent job as a squad player

Well first things first anybody who has watched Wigan play this year or last year would not say they are Poor, towards the end of last season there last 12 games were 8 wins, 2 draws 2 defeats, with wins over Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, they have been very unlucky this campaign with there results not reflective in there performances and many percieved them to have turned a corner recently with wins over Spurs and West Ham.
We can only judge him on his role, he played in a forward position and he scored a goal, made a goal and covered his LB on numerous occasions, thats my perspective. I would rather see him in a LW position he could be our Kuyt on the Left channel. I rate him as a player, he has it in him to be a truly top title winning player.

It was good to see Enrique attacking the goal just as someone was about to shoot, he got his reward, others could learn from that, so many of Luis's and others shots are parried it's something we should be very aware of doing. .

He's been good and bad so far at LFC, but then who has'nt ? He's obviously liked by the rest of the players so i hope he makes it here as part of the squad.

I rate Enrique. He has natural physical attributes that you can't just give to a player. You can also tell that the opposition don't like playing against him. He's just too strong and quick. Mata was ****ting it last week

If he could iron out some of his sloppy play, I would say he could become an international class left midfield player.

Have to say, his crossing was much better vs Wigan too. So it shows that he has that in his locker too. Just needs to put it all together.

Not making excuses for him (actually don't think he's defending is as bad as others make out FWIW), but I wonder if the loss of Lucas had much of an impact in his own loss of form last season. Obviously without the excellent defensive cover he was more likely to get caught out but also I wonder if he carried the ball more than he should have as Lucas wasn't there to give him the simple option.

Can't wait until we have a full strength team on the pitch again, even though I'm not sure Enrique will be part of it.
