I think he'd have come to us, he's virtually a kid, not like he's on his last legs and gagging for one last shot at CL. By his own admission a Liverpool fan, i think he would've come to us. You dont? Fair enough.



Each to their own. I'd rather have world class players who would fire us to a title challenge.

I don't know what happened, but it's not often we talk about facts on here; it's mainly rumour, hearsay and guess work - just like you saying he'd have come to us.

I'd love to have world class players firing us to a title challenge, that's not the argument; (as I type this he's just spanked in a worldie!) but I genuinely do think we enquire about the best players out there, only to get turned down because of various factors. In my opinion of course.

EDIT: I see the 'world class players' comment was in relation to CJ's comment, ignore me.

i dont think he has any affinity to us though. i would love him here . i just think that we are taking steps and adding people like kun is a step or two away from were we are.

its a shame as he is a cracking player. we need to get back in the champs league and then ther is less debate about who will and wont come to us.

i think i would prefer a team with some shape and discipline then add kun.

rather than kun and a team that isnt that strong around him.

i will refer to the now legendery "riera improved the team by giving it balance" type comment.

of course i would like aguero and messi and alonso and silva. it doesnt mean any one of them would want to come to us this summer.

Thing is we don't know how much Downing will play on the right, which indeed doesn't offer our team this desired width and shape which so many are craving for. it's a void comparison because clearly they aren't anywhere near the same in footballer type and quality. But just saying if I were a chairmen of a top team anywhere in Europe and I had the economic reserves to add Aguero to my team regardless of what my attacking apartment looked like I'd want him there.

In regards to Citeh winning the league, I don't know there's plenty to go and many things can go wrong, but **** they have some squad don't they?

Well, based on that quote of his (and he didnt need to say it, much less add the bit about having watched the 2005 CL final and celebrating each goal), he does.

It's not 'proof' obviously, but i dont see why he'd be arsed to manufacture such a lie when we werent signing him. It wasnt like one of those where a player has just joined a new club and claims to have supported them as a boy.
